Bling-A-Ding Part Un

So following on from my blog on cocktail rings (click here) & my recent blogs on accessorising existing outfits in your wardrobe (click here hereI couldn't leave my favourite kind of accessory (other than scarves) out, yup you've guess it jewellery!!!  Now there is currently so much gorgeous bling-a-ding out there at the moment that I'm going to do a couple of blogs, starting with today's blog on earrings & continuing with necklaces & bracelets next time.

Whilst as a general rule I wear my 'best' earrings I have to admit to totally loving the latest trend for some statement dangly stud earrings featuring bling & coloured stones.  I think they look simply stunning dressed down with some distressed jeans & sweatshirt not to mention jaw dropping when teamed with a party outfit.  Plus of course they go with whatever length hair you have, long hair they'd look great with your hair tied back or worn up, shoulder length hair with one side of your hair tucked behind your ear & of course with short hair they'll easily be seen however you wear your hair.

So let's start with these gorgeous drop earrings from ASOS.  I absolutely love the shade of blue of the stones teamed with the gold & think this shade of blue would look amazing with a white shirt & a light coloured jean, which when teamed with a blazer & court shoes would look pretty stunning for a Christmas party.

For something a little more eye catching how about these stunning crystal & yellow coloured earrings from ASOS.  Such a fab pair for wearing with most colours, black, navy etc but I think would look amazing when teamed with grey.

Another set of earrings which would look fab when teamed with grey not to mention this season's must have shade of pink is these gorgeous pink stone & diamante earrings.

Next up putting the statement into statement earrings is this stunning pair from ASOS.  These would look gorgeous when teamed with a little black dress or even a tailored shirt & faux/leather pencil skirt, just divine DAR-Ling!

If however you want something a little less blingy but still want to make a statement, then how about these hammered disc earrings from Ottomon Hands, a great pair of earrings for dressing up & down.

Also by the same brand are these circle beaded drop earrings. I absolutely love the green & black stones teamed with the gold, just stunning & these would also rock in the summer when teamed with maxi skirts for more of a boho vibe too.

For a more vintage feel then how about these stunning vintage inspired earrings from ASOS?

Turning up the volume on the bling & I absolutely LOVE these chandelier earrings from Banana Republic.  These would look simply stunning when teamed with a simple plain round necked black dress & you certainly wouldn't need any other jewellery or accessories to give the fairy on the top of the tree a run for her money.  Although I can equally see them looking just as fab with some distressed jeans & a blazer too!

Of a similar design but on a smaller scale are these pretty New Look drop earrings.

I absolutely love this next pair of earrings from Banana Republic & love the colours of the stones, which because of their colours could so easily be teamed with lots of in your wardrobe & whoops may just have 'clicked' the button as an early pre-Christmas treat to myself ;-)

Finally if you fancy embracing a festive coloured pair then how about these burgundy & black earrings from New Look?  Surely a great investment for the party season.

One of the things I love most about this style earring is that they're not going to break the bank & are a great way of adding a bit of interest & change to your look not to mention glamour.  Plus they're a great thing to ask for, for Crimbo as one size fits all, so you know they're going to fit meaning no mad dash Boxing Day to the sales in the hope that the item you got for Christmas & love but doesn't fit is still available in your size (maybe just me?!!!).

Finally here's a quick round up of what I've been wearing since my last post, starting with a pre-Christmas meet up with some lovely friends.

So have you embraced this bling-a-ding trend & currently working the chandelier look?  Or perhaps you've put some on your Crimbo wish list?  After all who doesn't secretly hope for a bit of bling under the tree Christmas morning & if the budget won't stretch to diamonds these have got to be a close BFF alternative!!

As always I'd love to hear what you think & how you're wearing the look.  In the meantime I hope the countdown to the festivities isn't too hectic & you're managing to sample the odd glass or two of something chilled with the odd chocolate & mince pie thrown in.....well someone's got to be responsible for quality control haven't they ;-)  I'll be back in a couple of days with some fantastic statement necklaces & bracelets.

  5. I toyed with ordering the pale pink ASOS pair (3rd down) but was stunned when I saw how enormous they were on the model shot. Great price but far too big for me for a "stud" and yet not quite dangly. They do have a superb selection at the moment though :)
