Classic Sales Accessories

Following on from my last post I'm continuing with the theme of sales purchases that are investment & lifelong (well several years at least!!) purchases.  So today we're talking tan - a colour that is classic, elegant & stylish & what better way to add a bit of chicness than with tan accessories.  I find tan such a classic colour, which not only oozes glamour but also goes with most colours in your wardrobe....I'm thinking navy, black, cream, white, grey, khaki....I could go on!!

So let's start with bags, after all who doesn't need a handbag that you can simply grab & go knowing it's going to go with whatever you're wearing not to mention no more transferring said contains of your handbag on a daily basis.

First up is this classic little clutch bag from Massimo Dutti, which may have found it's way into my shopping basket & now my wardrobe ;-) I've recently started a huge love affair with all things clutch.....so nice not lugging a huge bag around everywhere plus no more routing in said huge cavernous bag for your lippy or mobile phone & certainly no more panicking that you've lost your mobile phone when you can't instantly locate it (this of course may just be me!!!).  Plus no more having to carry hubby's wallet, car keys etc, etc - hubby if you're reading this of course that's not the main reason for said new love affair, I love carrying your junk around, it makes me feel closer to you ;-)  Seriously though not only do I love the texture of the leather of this bag (great for disguising the odd scuff or scratch) but also the wrist strap, which means I can go 'hands free' when required for vital holding of clothes haul when making my way to the changing rooms ;-) And on top of that it is the PERFECT bag for dressing up or down, the fact that it's also reduced & in the sale well that's just a Brucie bonus!!!

If a clutch bag is too small & extreme then what about this classic tote?  The perfect fit anything/everything in bar the kitchen sink tote, which could even be accessorised with a fab scarf looped through the handles to tie in with your outfit.

If however, you prefer to keep your hands free but need something bigger than your average clutch then what about this stunning shoulder bag from Radley?  A great classic investment buy & with those outside pockets...well both mobile & lippy would forever be at hand for those touch up emergencies!!

Another great style of bag that is useful is a cross body bag....great for those days out as a family or when you expect to be carrying a lot of shopping not to mention when sightseeing or on a mini break.    I love this one from Mint Velvet not to mention the fact that is has so many handy pockets & detailing with the eyelets on the strap.

Finally in the hand bag department then what about this cross body one from Fiorelli, slightly darker in shade to the other bags but nonetheless still classic, practical & stylish in design.

Moving away from bags & onto shoes & boots, tan is again a great colour shoe to have a few styles in, in your wardrobe as it's simply both practical not to mention stylish.

So starting with shoes of the heeled variety & this first pair from Massimo Dutti, which are as stylish as they are timeless not to mention a gorgeous shade of tan.

For an enclosed shoe & a less orangey tan then how about these ones from Banana Republic?  I love the detailing on the raised platform at the front of the shoe but before you fall head over heels in love there's limited availability in sizing online, although you might strike lucky if you try in store.

If suede doesn't float your boat then how about a patent nude shoe.  Again great for wearing with all colours, although this could be only me but do you ever experience both your shoes sticking together when wearing patent?!!! I have to confess to having narrowly avoided several tumbles as a result of this but of course this could just be me & my clumsiness!!!

One pair that even I couldn't *shouldn't* be able to fall over in are these lovely quilted ballet pumps from New Look - tan & quilted, two of my favourite things I look for in a ballet pump so HUGE thumbs up from me!

Sticking with flats then how about these classic loafers, a perfect pair come the warmer months & a style that's never going to go out of fashion.

Moving onto boots & who can't resist a pair of ankle boots?!!  I absolutely love these ones from London Rebel & with a small heel too, what more could you ask for.

A similar design of boot but with a higher heel is this pair from ASOS.  I totally love these & the extra height in heel would mean I might almost be as tall as our son again & even I could wear these heels for everyday life.

If the ASOS ones are out of stock in your size then what about these Dune ones?

Or if you like a more lighter shade of tan then what about these beauties from Banana Republic?

Or how about these cuffed boots from Wallis, now reduced to £15, for that price it would be rude not to surely?!!!

Similar in design but hopefully available in your size if none of the above ones are, are these fab boots from Clarks.

Or for a slightly smarter design with a heel then what about this stunning pair also from Clarks, in fact they remind me of some Zara ones Santa brought me for Crimbo!

Finally what about these biker boots from Topshop, quite limited with sizes but you might have better luck in store....well if it's meant to be....

So what do you think, are you tempted to join me in the purchase of some tan accessories?  Perhaps you've already hit the button & found some beauties I need to know about!!!

I remember spotting the Asos boots when they had them in black and they sold out faster than lightning - I was gutted but all's well that ends well and I got myself a nice pair of Medwinds which are looking to become a really good investment piece. And I have to say, I love the look of the Topshop boots. I want, I want. But I can't, I can't!
