WIWT - Date Night & Saturday

Oooh don't you just love a Saturday morning lie in....not that I seem to be able to sleep in (still awake at 5:30!) but it's lovely just to be able to lie in bed & snooze or spend some time catching up & browsing on the iPad before tea & biscuits in bed (our weekend treat :-) ).

A day of the usual Saturday morning errands, karate run & treats from the supermarket, with perhaps a little research *shopping* thrown in ;-)

This weekend we're determined not to have such a busy job filled one so are hoping to get everything out of the way before a lazy late lunch & then an evening on the sofa watching a good film or two.

So onto my outfits & firstly here's what I wore for our date night last night.  Having fallen in love with boyfriend jeans last summer I'm now loving a slightly looser fit trouser too & LOVE these faux leather ones from Zara, although if you don't want them too baggy in the crotch area I'd advise sizing down!

Jacket - Zara

And for a day of errands & a lazy lunch for two I've decided to wear a mixture of navy & black, a colour scheme I probably wouldn't have dreamed of wearing a couple of years ago but absolutely love wearing now.

Top - Tesco
Bracelet - J Crew
Trousers - Zara

So what do you think are you a navy & black outfit kind of girl or do you firmly believe the two colours shouldn't be worn together?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Have a great Saturday & see you in the morning.

  1. Navy and black look really good together (as do blue and green - the other oft mentioned no-no combo). I think the secret is to be confident in what colours you wear and let the clothes do the talking!
Love your zara jacket & the shoes in the first pic

    1. Ooh yes that's another great colour combo Paul that I love wearing. Thought I'd mix things up a bit with the red leopard print shoes for Date night ;-)

  2. I like how you wear the baggy leather look, when people go too big with them they look like kids who have filled their nappies. But your look relaxed yet fitted enough.

    1. Thanks Alexandra that's the exact comment my hubby made when I tried my normal size on, it sooo wasn't a flattering look!!!! Sizing down has given me the look I wanted & I'm loving that slightly looser fit. Thanks for the compliment :-)

  9. I've always loved navy and black together and used to wear it to work when I had a job. I don't think it was because I was particularly stylish - more it was just what I had to wear and it looked okay (in my eyes) at the time.

Lovely to see a full picture of you - looking beautiful :o)
