Taking A Look At Hush & What I'm Wearing Today

I was recently approached by Hush to see if I'd be interested in styling some of their new summer pieces & having never purchased from them I was really looking forward to seeing if the pieces were as stunning as they looked on their website.

For those of you that have never shopped at Hush their collection of clothing is aimed at women who 'like fashion but are not a slave to it, who want to look good but don't want to spend ages doing so, who want to be comfortable but not at the expense of style.'

Hush offer a great collection of casual, chic & timeless pieces that can be easily intermixed with basics in your wardrobe & can be dressed up or down whatever the occasion.  So let's get onto my new additions.

Now you know I've been saying I needed some new dresses for summer well this first printed maxi dress is going to be perfect for lazy summer days not to mention our summer holiday, which is still to far away for my liking.  I just love the colours & it hangs beautifully with shoestring straps that either can be tied at the shoulders or simply left undone & tucked inside the dress to create a strapless maxi.

I chose the second designed dress & went for one in an XS, which fits perfectly & I would say fits a UK8/10.  Firstly here's how I'd layer the dress for those cooler days were a jacket or extra layer is required.

Dress - Hush £50
Denim Jacket - Zara, similar here
Necklace - Bought in Majorca, similar here
Leather Cuff - Banana Republic, similar here
Bag - Zara, similar here
Sandals - Zara, similar here

And for days where the sun's shining you can either have the dress with the straps tied.

Or untied & tucked into the dress to create a strapless dress for the all important sunbathing when out & about & to avoid those tell tale white strap marks!!!

Hush also very kindly sent me this shorter styled dress that is available in two stunning blues, again a great one for taking on my hols!

I love the looser fit & style of this dress, which is made from 100% polyester & has a slightly longer hem line at the back.  It would look stunning teamed with tan heels & a clutch for evening or dressed down with gold accessories for a more casual vibe, as I've styled below.

Dress - Hush £60
Necklaces - Handmade, similar here
Bag - Boden, similar here
Sandals - Zara, similar here
Bracelets - Ashiana & Handmade, similar here

For cooler days you could simply layer with a longline boyfriend cardigan or denim jacket, or even wear as a tunic with some capri fitted trousers.  Not to mention wear as a beach cover up.  I would recommend you wear an underskirt with the dress if wearing it as a dress as it's quite see-through & we all know how obsessed I am with doing a Princess Di!

Moving away from dresses & onto their Chloe shorts, which are available in these three gorgeous soft toned colours.

Made from 100% rayon these shorts are super light & cool for sunny days, although prone to a little bit of creasing & their wide-smocked elasticated waist make them super comfy also.  Again I found the XS to be a great fit with room for a indulgent BBQ or two ;-)  Plus they have side & back pockets too - what more could you ask for in a pair of shorts?!!!

I've styled them layered for a cooler day with a loose fitting top, denim jacket & ankle boots but these shorts would also look stunning teamed with a simple camisole & flats for a glorious sunny day too.

Finally here's what I'm wearing today for a lazy day at home & hopefully some time spent in the garden.

Top - Mango
Shorts - H&M
Sandals - Next £22

Shorts - Mint Velvet £49
Sandals - John Lewis £45

So have you purchased anything recently from Hush?   If you've yet to purchase as you were unsure if the clothes would be as good as they looked I'd definitely urge you to go for it as I for one will certainly me making a few more purchases from them in the future as they offer great timeless pieces for any wardrobe.  Plus with free delivery & returns with code 'SUMM14' what have you got to loose?!!!!!

Have a great day & see you tomorrow.
