Some New Jewels & WIWT

Now it's no secret that I love a bit jewellery or two, so when Michal Golan recently got in touch to see if I wanted to review & style some of their pieces it really was a no brainer.

Michal Golan is an Israeli born jewellery designer, printer & ceramist who lives in New York & works with her husband who manages the business.  The business has grown considerably in the twenty years since it started & all the jewellery is beautifully & individually handcrafted at the company's studios & represents both Michal's love of antique art & her contemporary design.

Naturally it goes without saying that I was quite happy to spend some time drooling over the beautiful collection before making my final decision on what pieces to choose so I thought I'd share with you some of the stunning pieces that made my short list.

Totally love this first necklace & the colours are just stunning for summer, how gorgeous would this look teamed with an all white outfit?

Love this pair of earrings too, so very pretty & a great pair for teaming with either a casual or smarter outfit & again stunning colours for summer.

For a classic stylish pair of earrings that are going to go with everything & never date then this next pair of earrings certainly fit the bill & of course will satisfy any inner magpie you might be harbouring ;-)

Another stunning necklace in more muted colours next.

Or how about this stunning pale blue necklace, again gorgeous for wearing on your summer holidays with a tan & an all white maxi.

So what did I choose?!!  Well I've been looking at Hamsa designed necklaces for a while as I love the theory behind them - a good luck symbol that's intended to ward off evil & protect its wearer.  After all we can all do with someone watching our backs! So as soon as I saw that Michal designed jewellery that incorporated this I just knew this design was for me.  If you take a look at Michal's website you will see that this design is available in a whole array of beautiful colours but I decided to go with a neutral coloured necklace & matching bracelet made from freshwater pearls & mother of pearl beads that are intermixed with beautiful Swarovski crystal beads & brass electroplated 24K gold findings.

I also chose an evil eye bracelet to layer with my Hamsa one as again I like the idea of warding off evil & think it's going to be a great addition to my jewellery collection for wearing both on it's own & layering with other bracelets too.  Again this design comes in a stunning array of colours but the one that really stood out for me was this stunning teal one.  The bracelet is made from Swarovski crystal and glass beads with a leather strap & brass electroplated 24k gold findings.

All the pieces are beautifully & professionally made & I know I'm going to be wearing mine a lot this summer plus it's lovely to be able to wear something that little bit different from what's available on the high street.

In fact I'm wearing all three pieces in my outfit today.

So what do you think, do you love the pieces as much as I do?  What about the meaning behind the jewellery I chose, are you like me & love pieces that have a bit of meaning & if they bring good luck & protect from evil all the better?!!!  I think I might have to buy a lottery ticket today & give the powers a good testing ;-)

Have a good day & see you in the morning.
