What I've Been Buying In June & MY OOTD

I know I say it each month but these monthly confessions fly by & each month I write said post I also tell myself that I don't need anything next month but somehow (I'm blaming the Shopping Fairy!) new additions just magically appear...this blog malarky sure is lethal for the old shopping budget!

So let's get the pain out of the way quickly & jump right in ripping the plaster off as opposed to slowly peeling it back!

Now my first purchase is this lovely metallic silver 'party bag' a great name alone.  I'm getting so much wear out of my Next pointed slingbacks that I felt it justified the purchase of a silver bag to match.  After all we all know how useful metallics are & I love the Chanel take on this bag which is sure to never go out of fashion.

Onto sales purchases now...not too many, I feel I've been quite restrained this summer & there were no repeats of the four large boxes from Zara like the new year sales, hubby has even had to take my temperature ;-)

Love this tunic from Zara, something a little bit different to what I'd normally wear but I love navy & green together & will wear this as both a dress & also over jeans/capri trousers.

I also fancied getting some slightly smarter shorts for on holiday this year so when I saw these denim ones it seems a great mix of the smarter style I was wanting but still keeping a casual vibe with the denim fabric.

Now I'd featured this Zara dress in an earlier blog so when I saw it had gone into the sale I snapped it up as it should be perfect for our summer holidays, which are slowly getting that bit closer!

Love the gold flecks in this jumper, now all I need is the tan to compliment it!

Moving away from sales bargains & onto my Mango haul that I ordered from their last 30% discount day, so in a way this is like a double confession seeing as I've already admitted to these in a previous post!  The fact that I've already worn most of these pieces shows that they were great purchases that should hopefully weather permitting come in handy over the next few months.

Love the delicate feel of this dress & I'm really looking forward to teaming it with gold accessories for our holidays.

Next up a jacket (bet you weren't expect that ;-) ).  I really love the subdued colours of this quilted jacket & it looks great teamed with a a vibrant shade of red plus the fact that I've declared these the new 'cardigan' makes my purchase of ANOTHER jacket that bit easier to justify ;-)

I''m also been enjoying wearing this boho inspired top, again a different style than I'm used to but fab with distressed jeans.  I must remember to team it with my red capris for a different look to jeans too.

So pleased with this blouse, it has such a pretty & quite sexy (without being overly) neckline that I know it's going to be a great addition for dressing up or down all year long.

I also couldn't resist this pretty broderie angliase top as it's perfect for teaming with denim shorts not to mention jeans & wearing under jackets too, I mean really can you ever have enough white tops?!!

Well if you're going to go boho you need at least two tops...right ;-)

And finally I just couldn't resist this bag as soon as I saw it on Laura over at Wearing It Today, I shall definitely be snipping of the cross body strap & using it as a clutch, again perfect for the summer hols :-)

Finally here's my outfit for today.

  6. Oooh lots of lovely purchases Jane. I missed out on the printed Mango jacket when it went in the sale so ordered the black and cream colour way one instead except the cream was more vanilla. Not what I was hoping for as much more difficult to style. Sadly it went back but I did like it x
