My Pick Of The Best Fur Coats On The High Street & WIWT

Fur is absolutely HUGE this season & what better way to embrace it then with a faux fur coat.  Not only will you be on trend but you'll also be snuggly & warm & boy have you ever stroked one?!  They're so soft that quite frankly I could happily sit there & stroke one all day long, which makes them a great anti-stress reliever too!

So what better place to start with faux fur coats than of the Bet-tastic leopard variety!  I have for years looked longingly at these & wished I had the nerve to wear one, saying to hubby many a time I don't think I could pull it off.  But all that changed last year when hubby brought me one for our wedding anniversary & I have to say I love it & have yet to hear any Bet Lynch jokes whilst wearing it!!

For me it's a great way to transform an otherwise plain & simple outfit into something that instantly looks styled without being too out there!  As you'll see from the selection below they look great when teamed with all black but they also look fab with a simple white shirt or grey sweatshirt, distressed jeans & ballet pumps.

So first up is this gorgeous looking one from Mango, which although it doesn't feature any black spots still looks stunning teamed with black.  Plus if you used code 5MNG you'll get 30% off all Mango coats & knitwear but you'll have to hurry as the offer ends tonight!

Totally love this next one from River Island & love how it's been styled too.  Such an easy style to copy as how many of us have a white shirt & black crew neck jumper hanging in our wardrobes?!

If you fancy something a little simpler then this collarless one from Zara might be worth considering.

Or how about this fab one from Topshop?  Slightly more dressy than the Zara number & just stunning.

Or if traditional leopard print isn't your thing than how about this grey one from Next.

Stepping away from all things Bet & moving onto plainer faux fur jackets now & if I didn't already have a plain faux fur from Topshop hanging in my wardrobe I would be extremely tempted to order this baby.  I just love everything about it - colour, style & not to mention that vintage vibe.  Love it dressed down with the jeans & white shirt below but how fabulous would this look when worn for Christmas Day or a party too?!

Again with this Next jacket - just divine, I'm already wondering how many faux furs are too many!!!  Perfect for dressing up or down.  I'd really love to dress this up for a night out with some faux leather leggings & heels - totally gorgeous.

Biba also have a great selection & this collarless multi-coloured has caught my eye.

Or for a simpler faux fur how about this all black number.

If you fancy something a little shorter then fear not there's some great designs around.  I love the grey of this Mint Velvet number, which would add instant glamour to any outfit.

I'm also loving the shape & colour of this next one from Topshop too & would love to see this styled with a fabulous boho wide brimmed floppy hat.

New Look have this great classic black number that's never going to date.

Finally how about a cream faux fur?  Not the most practical of colours but who can resist a bit of the winter whites & Zara have a couple of great ones.  Starting with this lovely simple ribbed three quarter length one.

And also this shorter version in a more practical shade.

Or how about this very similar one from Boden.

Finally here's my outfit for today.  I enjoyed wearing my pink blazer so much yesterday that I'm wearing it again today!

Jacket - Boden
Jumper - Woolovers

Boots - Clarks
Snood - Gemini Woman

Soft Greys & Hot Pink

So what do you think?  Are you planning on embracing the faux fur trend this season & jumping straight in with a coat?  Have you seen something above that takes your fancy or have you got your eyes fixed on another beauty?  As always I love hearing your thoughts.

Happy 'hump' day.

So many fab coats to tempt here, and really fascinated by the Asos vintage one (I do love it!)......I keep seeing the vintage pieces on their site, and wasnt sure if they are genuine vintage ones. or are they made to look as if they are? Also the Next one is gorgeous and so expensive looking!......My Xmas list is getting bigger by the day! Helen xx

    1. I think it can have a lot to do with how thick the fur is as well Lynne as I sometimes feel this way with gilets too!
