What I've Been Buying In October & My OOTD

One of these months this post is going to be blank & my halo will be totally blinding but surprise, surprise October wasn't the month for being Angelic!!!

So what have I brought?!!  Well the first item was actually brought with a voucher so in a way it doesn't count right?!!  I've had my eye on a different coloured breton for a while & in the end decided on this pink one from Boden.  As I wanted a slightly looser fit I decided to size up & as in case you're tempted to order this thinking it's a hot pink colour I would say that it's not quite as pink as shown below & is more on the verge of purple but it's a great colour for teaming with navy/denim.

So having managed to go a month without buying a jacket I obviously started to get severe withdrawal symptoms ;-) & as soon as I saw this beauty from Zara I just had to give it a whirl.  Of course we all know I have a HUGE weakness for boucle let alone jackets but whilst this beauty is expensive for a Zara jacket it really is stunning & is probably going to be the nearest I ever get to a Chanel one.  A real classic that's going to look lovely dressed up as well as it is dressed down, in fact I've already worn it for our outing to celebrate our wedding anniversary last month.

Again my resolve stood no chance with this Zara jumper - striped (monochrome instead of navy & white) & with gorgeous bling-tastic buttons on the shoulder.......in a word LOVE.  Again I sized up for a looser fit & love it teamed with the all the faux leather that's hanging in my wardrobe & seriously can you ever have too many stripes?!!!

Talking of having too many.....of course I needed a new scarf like I need a hole in the head....but what can I say I'm a scarf-a-holic & these blanket scarves are fab for keeping warm in during the winter & mean I can get more mileage out of my biker jacket & blazers come the cooler months.

See what I mean about a scarf-a-holic?!!!  Couldn't resist this navy & hot pink number I'm afraid.

Ok so I've already got a couple of similar style blouses from Mango & Zara in navy & cream so when I saw this one in black I immediately clicked the button as they're great for dressing up or down & I just love the neckline.

Finally I've invested in a couple of simple shift dresses, which are going to be great teamed with biker boots, a scarf & my biker jacket & a great alternative to jeans & a blazer.

And moving swiftly on to my outfit for today.

  1. Sorry, I've had to be very restrained this month after splurging a bit too much in October! I did buy that pink and camel Zara scarf yesterday though - I can't believe how soft it is! I'm sure that when I total it all up at the end of the month it'll be worse than expected, so you're in good company :-D Love today's shirt, I'm staying off the Zara website or I'll end up with that too!

  8. I so very nearly bought that grey shirt dress from Zara the other day. It looked like it would be so easy to wear but I was worried it might crease very easily. Have you worn yours yet? Does it crease?

    1. Hi yes it's a great dress for throwing on. It does crease a bit but not too badly, but if you want something of a similar style & colour that's a heavier weight so less likely to crease Zara also have a grey checked dress (http://www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/dresses/long-sleeved-check-dress-c269185p2340545.html) that would be ideal.
