Boho Tops & WIWT

So this year we all know the 70s are huge & of course one great way to embrace this trend is with a boho top or two.

I finally released my inner hippie last year having spent previous summers loving the style from afar.  As before I'd tried them on & got my head round styling, I really thought the more casual & relaxed fit wouldn't be for me but I have to say I love them.  Not only are they fab for the summer in general, not to mention longed for summer holidays, they go perfectly with jeans of all descriptions - skinny, boyfriend, distressed & of course flares & I just love them teamed with denim shorts too.

So let's get on with it & take a peek at what's on offer this spring & summer but be warned there's lots of stunners out there!!

So starting with delicate blues & whites - which totally screams mediterranean holidays.  This first one from Pepe Jeans is just stunning isn't it & really wouldn't need much in the way of accessories - maybe just a couple of delicate gold chains, jeans & wedges & you'd be good to go!

Now last year Mango were the Queen of boho tops & you won't be surprised to hear they've got some great ones this year too!

Another high street brand that has a great selection this year is New Look, they have simply far too many to feature but this blue tie print top would be fab for dressing up on a night out with some skinny jeans & statement heels.

Again a similar theme with this one from Zara.

Of course this next top has already found a new home in my wardrobe.  I don't really wear much pattern (apart from leopard print of course!) but this just called to me & it's even nicer when on.  I'm planning on teaming with distressed jeans, tan heels & clutch for a casual night out.

Naturally being a Zara-a-holic there's lots of other boho inspired tops that are catching my eye, included this tassel tied red number.

And we all know that I may have clicked the button on this one.  Perfect for less sunny days & teaming with a biker jacket.  I'm also planning on this colour way being perfect for easing from summer into autumn too.

If you prefer something a little bit more fitted then New Look have this lovely kimono which is elasticated at the waist.  Again these could so easily be teamed with jeans or shorts but would also be perfect as a little cover up for on the beach & it's also available in coral if you prefer a brighter colour way.

Keeping with the black theme with this next one from Zara.  Again a great top for day but I can also see this teamed with a statement clutch, leather or wax effect skinnies & some strappy heels for a fabulous look for a night out with the girls or other half.

Another one from New Look next & I think this style would look fab teamed with an all black tiered maxi skirt.

New Look Orange Floral Print Boder Tie Front Gypsy Top £17.99

If however, you fancy something with a bit more embroidery then this next one from Mango should seriously tick all the boxes.

Or how about this one from New Look.  This would look stunning with some flared jeans, tan wedges & a tan cross body bag & far more expensive than the £19.99 it costs!

Of course if you want to embrace this trend but want something that is simply going to go with everything then you're not going to go wrong with an all white number.  After all sun kissed skin, a pretty white top & denim looks stunning when the sun is shining & this top from New Look looks perfect for the money doesn't it.

As does this one from Mango.

Or if you're not sure if the trend is for you but fancy giving it a go what about this one from New Look - seriously only £9.99!!

And finally whilst this isn't a boho top & I'll be coming back to kimono's at another time I just had to show you this lovely one from New Look.  I just love the navy teamed with the contrast coral.  I've a feeling this won't be around around for long!!

Finishing with what I'm wearing today - all black with a splash of hot pink & another one of my scarves that has been pom pommed!!

Scarf - Zara
Jumper - Zara
Pleather Trousers - Zara

A Pop Of Pink

Pleather Trousers - Topshop £22

So what do you think are you loving everything boho & fully intend to embrace this trend this season, or is this something you love but don't like on you?

As always I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  1. I love the whole boho thing but I'm afraid the looser tops are a huge no-go with big boobs! :(. Although I adore the White Parisian top from New Look! I will admire from afar ;) x
