Holiday Make Up & WIWT

As you may recall from a recent blog post (see here), I'm a new devotee to the Charlotte Tilbury make up range having been a devoted Bobbi Brown fan for years.  So I was absolutely blown away when I recently got a wonderful surprise parcel through the post to celebrate the launch of Charlotte's Norman Parkinson collection, which features limited edition makeup & accessories.

I just love the Bathing Beauty Bag & plan on using it to keep all our suncream & lip balm in when we're on our holiday, it's the perfect size & I love the fact it can be wiped down if it get's dirty.  So no more playing hunt the suncream at the bottom of the beach bag for me this year!

Having fallen head over heels in love with Charlotte's highlighting powder that comes with the Filmstar Glow Bronzer, I was also delighted to receive her Dreamy Glow Highlighter.  Which having spoken to one of the make up artists in Selfridges can be used with my other highlighter & is a softer more pink toned version.  Plus it comes in a stunning compact for carrying in my handbag.

Anyway this got me thinking about holiday make up & how an additional purchase or two was needed ready for our holidays (seriously the brand should come with a addiction warning as I haven't tried anything that I don't love & have heard the same from many others to!).

So I thought today I'd share with you my new purchases, which are already packed ready for our holidays & I'm hoping will make my evening make up routine nice & simples.

I'm hoping that the next couple of products teamed with my Wonderglow will mean that I don't need to wear too much foundation & can just use a bit of Retoucher to even out my skin tone.

These beach sticks look fantastic & come in a range of colours (see range here).  I've decided to go for the Ibiza bronzer, which I intend to top up with my Filmstar Glow Bronzer & Highlighter.

And the pink cheek pop of Las Salinas.

Finally I'm also thinking of purchasing some of Charlotte's Supermodel Body.  Ok so I know that it's not going to make me look like the recent pictures of Elle Macpherson (have you seen the photos of her on holiday?!!  I mean seriously I'd love to have her body oh & perhaps stay on that boat!) but the fact that the product is described as 'slimmer shimmer that acts like shapewear lingerie for skin' has peaked my interest not to mention thte fact it creates the 'illusion of leaner, longer limbs' plus I'm just loving the look of the easy roll on applicator.  Hubby is telling me I don't need this but I am telling him I do...I might try & see if I can pick this up in Palma ;-)  Has anyone tried this?  If so I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Back to today & our last day at home before jetting off on holiday so a million & one things to do including the vital painting of finger & toe nails, cleaning (am I the only one who thinks it necessary to clean the entire house before going away?!!).  Plus I've got another back massage planned (hoping it won't be quite as painful this time but I'm told pain is good?!!) & the plan is to be finished before I go for this as we have a mega early start tomorrow but we all know that's never going to happen & I'll  no doubt only have a couple of hours sleep but hey who cares tomorrow I can snooze it off on a sunlounger :-)

So here's what I'm wearing today.

  1. I sadly didn't get time to go to Selfridge's when I was in London in July but I'm back down in September & I WILL be going as I have a few CT things I'd like to try! The beach stick looks fab. I really wish there was a retailer in Scotland somewhere (Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh would be fab thanks!!) as I hate spending a lot on makeup without being able to try it first! X

    1. You've got to try it Sarah I'm a total convert & am totally hooked.
