Statement Sales Picks & WIWT - All Blue

Today I thought I'd take a look at some statement sales bargains that whilst still classic items would be perfect for adding a little something & mixing with wardrobe basics.  Especially if like me, your wardrobe mainly consists of non-patterned items & lots of neutral colours I find the addition of a new statement piece or two can really help bring new life into your wardrobe & transform some of your old faithful wardrobe staples.

One of the best things about sales other than grabbing a bargain, is that with some clever thinking  you can get some great additions for the new season ahead.  So with this in mind this red off the shoulder dress immediately stood out & not just because of the price.  Such a striking colour that would be perfect for a special occasion - ladies day at the races, a summer wedding, special event or even dressed down with some simple gold sandals & bangles for summer holidays.

Red One Shoulder Dress Now £25

Attorney Road Red One Shoulder Dress

Likewise this pleated black cami dress could equally look stunning teamed with a statement hat/fascinator & accessories - perfect for a summer wedding but would equally work on holiday - just team with some delicate gold chains & bracelets with simple metallic sandals & it would be perfect.  I can't believe it's been reduced to just £16!

Black Pleated Cami Dress Now £16

Atterley Road Black Pleated Cami Dress

Jumping up in price with this next dress that has a real Victoria Beckham kind of feel.  Perfect for just throwing on & I just love it's flattering loose fit drop waist design.  Again heels & a statement clutch with either a fascinator or hat would make this perfect for a special occasion come the warmer months.

2ndday taisa shift dress

Moving onto tops now & as I've previously mentioned I love a crossover/draped blouse.  So easy to wear & such a flattering neckline.  This blouse is a real wardrobe classic that has beautiful pleating detailing to create some interest, although because it's so heavily reduced unfortunately not available in that many sizes - so if you're tempted don't hesitate with this one!

Ivory Drape Blouse Now £24

Atterley Road Ivory Drape Blouse

Having purchased a chea grey marl sequinned tee I'm now pretty tempted by this sequin sweater.  A classic design, grey so perfect for teaming with most colours in your wardrobe - denim, black, camel, navy, red, winter white etc but that little bit of sequin detailing on the slogan just makes it a little bit more funky & of interest than a simple grey crew neck.  Perfect for styling with a black blazer, jeans, trainers & layered over a white shirt as much as it would be teamed with a tuxedo blazer, court shoes & cigarette pants for a night out.  Or even teamed with a leather/pleather skirt.

Karl Lagerfeld Dani Tres Karl Ikonik Sweater

Now I love hiding bad hair days underneath a hat & this one is a complete steal.  I just love the leather plaited detailing.

Black Tricot Hat Now £17

Atterley Road Yerse Black Tricot Hat

One thing I haven't worn this winter due to the mild weather we've been enjoying is my knitted snood but come the cold it's perfect for throwing on with my biker jacket or parka.  This one below is quite similar to mine & a great price & would also make the perfect gift if you have any birthdays to buy for in the coming weeks.  Or if you prefer it's also available in cream here.

Grey Tricot Wool Snood Now £14

Atterley Road Yerse Grey Tricot Wool Snood

Or if you fancy something a little bit more dressy not to mention 'Bet'-tastic then what about this faux fur leopard print stole?  Perfect for teaming with an all black number & so cosy!

Reiss Falabella Faux Fur Stole

Moving onto scarves next & I just love this cashmere star one - how fab does it look teamed with the striped top?!  Again a great wardrobe staple that will never date & you can't beat a bit of cashmere for warmth & comfort at this time of year.

Chinti and parker star intarsia scarf

Although I'm also loving the splash of coral in this grey one.

Reiss Dismount Wrap Check Scarf

Moving onto bags.  What do you think about this pony skin cross body black number?!  Simple & classic but the pony skin adds an element of interest & texture without being a stand out pattern if you're uncomfortable with full on leopard print.

Village England Cheimorton Pony Skin Shoulder Bag

Now if I hadn't already just bought a new red bag then I'd be clicking the button in an instance on this next beauty.  Very Chanel inspired & just perfect for teaming with the most simplest of outfits such as a breton & pair of jeans.

Design Inverse Milano Quilted Bag

And on the same lines as the red bag above, these red Converse would be perfect if like me you have a lot of navy, black & grey clothing hanging in your wardrobe.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Canvas Trainers

Or if you fancy a pair of trainers that are a little different without being a bright colour such as the ones above that about these navy pony skin Superga's?!

Superga 2750 calf hair plimsols

Although my favourites would have to be these leopard print high tops - I just love these beauties!

Ash Venus Leopard Print High Top Trainers

And sticking with leopard print if you've still yet to invest in some court shoes this next pair are a great buy.

Sam Edelman Ornella Brahma Hair Court Shoes

As are these ankle boots - seriously I would be lost without my leopard print accessories for adding interest to some of my plainer outfits.

Sam Edelman Lucy Leopard Print Ankle Boots

Back to today & I'm keeping things pretty simple & letting my coatigan do all the talking.

My Midlife Fashion, Damart Oversized cardigan, massimo dutti white tailored shirt, zara skinny jeans, boden boho boots

Coatigan - Damart
Shirt - Massimo Dutti
Jeans - Zara
Boots - Boden

All Blue

Coatigan - Damart Now £22.50

So there you have my statement picks from the sale.  Do you see anything to tempt you?  Or are you all sales'd out?!  I'm currently hovering over the slogan jumper as well as wondering if I should order the red quilted bag to compare with my Osprey one before deciding which one to keep.  Decisions, decisions!

Have a lovely day & I'll see you tomorrow.
