One Dress Three Ways Plus A Fantastic Discount Code & WIWT

Morning ladies.  Seeing as Marks & Spencer have just launched 20% off all clothing, beauty, home & furniture click here & use code FEB16A16, I thought it would be fun to share with you a recent purchase that just happened to catch my eye.  As well as show you three different ways in which I intend to style my new purchase come the warmer months.

So first the dress.  Being monochrome & stripes it probably doesn't need any explaining as to why it caught my eye.  However, generally I'm not a huge fan of shirt dresses as I generally worry that I look as if I'm wearing an overlong shirt & have forgotten to put my trousers on!  But this dress is an exception.  Firstly because it's a great length so it looks like a dress & not an oversized shirt.  Secondly the hem doesn't curve up at the sides so again it feels more like a dress & thirdly it's made from the most gorgeous material that is a great weight that feels very luxurious plus it's not too filmsy & it even doesn't crease!

Marks and Spencer Striped Shirt Dress

Size wise I would say the dress comes up on the larger size.  I've actually sized down & have gone for a UK6 & as you can see there's plenty of room still.  I really don't think the above picture on the web does the dress any justice so I've taken a few selfies so you can see what it looks like in real life. Please ignore the pop socks they were quickly thrown on to hide my toes (which are still healing) & I'm not saying I would wear it with the boots I've got on but they were the first thing that came to hand.  I'm thinking loose with trainers on a casual day but if I want to feel more within my comfort zone & structured I really like it teamed with a belt & think it will be perfect with my studded black sandals come the summer.

  1. Love your all grey look today Jane. That shirt dress is really nice. I love them on other people but am generally not keen on wearing them myself as I find collars a bit awkward and they never seem to sit right on me. This one is so lovely though that I'm tempted to try it on.

    1. Morning Sam, if you're tempted I'd definitely give this dress as try as the fabric is such a lovely weight the collar stays put & falls nicely. Plus of course with the discount it's a great saving ;-)
      Hope this helps.
      Jane xx
