A Fab Discount Code + WIWT - Lace & Denim

Morning ladies.  So before I show you what I'm wearing, I've got a fantastic discount code to share.

I've recently been contacted by REN Skincare & have been trialling a couple of their products - the Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist & a new product which launches in September called Flash Hydro-Boost.

Now for anyone who is unaware of the brand or has yet to give them a try REN Skincare was formed 15 years ago & uses only 100% plant & mineral derived actives in all its products.  With a range designed to offer ground breaking product formulation teamed with the latest hi-tech actives that offers clinically proved results following rigorous product testing.

And Flash Hydro-Boost

My Midlife Fashion, Ren Skincare, Ren skincare flash defence anti-pollution mist, REn skincare flash hydro-boost

The Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist is a fine mist that can be used over your make up & re-applied throughtout the day, designed to 'shield & protect the skin from ageing effects of environmental pollution & harmful free radicals'.  It works by forming a non-sticky barrier over your skin to reduce the damaging effects from the environment, which will instantly protect & with regular use help to reduce the premature ageing effect of environmental pollution.  I've been using the product for a couple of weeks & love the fact that I can't feel the product on my skin & find it really refreshing to regularly spray the product over my face & neck during the course of the day.  So much so that I think it will be a perfect way of feeling fresh faced when we're on holiday so is definitely coming away with us.

The second product - Flash Hydro-Boost has the most amazing smell without being too heavily scented & is designed to instantly plump the skin & over time will protect the skin from the ageing effects of dehydration by reducing fine line & preventing water loss from the skin.  This product is massaged into the skin after cleansing & is used daily prior to moisturising.  Again I'm really liking the product (I've only been using it for a week so it's too early to see any real results) but I shall definitely continue with it as any product that promises to plump, smooth & hydrate my skin can only be a good thing.

Now as I mentioned earlier I've got a fantastic discount code to share with you that can be used across REN Skincare's entire range.  Simply use the code BLOG20 here to get 20% off everything!

Back to today & I'm taking a few hours off work later for a lazy afternoon tea with the girls for bubbles, cake & a catch up before we all go away on our various summer holidays.  We're incredibly lucky to all live in the same village & also have a wonderful tea room in the next village that makes the most amazing afternoon tea, so as there's going to be bubbles involved we're walking to the tearoom - luckily it's only around a mile away but still I'm going with flats & a casual look to avoid any potential sore feet or falling over ;-)

  1. Mornin Jane! Lace with jeans is one of my fave jean combos. Today I'm wearing scruffy old jeggings and t shirt - suitable attire for Day 2 of our sheds clear out project!
Yes, be sensible with the footwear choice. On Friday night I did the 15 min walk in the heat to our local all fresco eatery wearing just simple flatties and am now accessorising my look with a gigantic heel blister. Should have worn Birkies to allow my feet to expand in the heat. My tip of the day!
    Enjoy your tea n catchup.

    1. Morning Mary it sounds like you've got a busy day ahead but one that will give you a lot of satisfaction once it's completed.
Ouch to the blister - there's nothing worse than sore feet. After my operation on my toes last year I just don't have the patience anymore for uncomfortable shoes. Although a top tip have you tried the Compeed anti blister stick? It definitely helps avoid rubbing & stops blisters forming.
Good luck with the sort out.

  2. Erratum: above reads as though I was dressed in flatties only. Not a good look with my body. For the record, I was wearing a brown Bardot dress too!

  3. Hi Jane
As I work part-time in the beauty business, I've been lucky enough to sell & use various elements in the facial skincare & body ranges that REN produce. I love the Seaweed & Sage body wash with its clean fresh smell & ergonomic bottles which you get every last drop out of & love that the brand stand for purity, performance & pleasure. It is nice to see you enjoying the new lines. Regards Sarah P

  4. Hi Sarah thanks for the tip about their Seaweed & Sage body wash I shall definitely add it to my list of products to try. Especially if you don't end up leaving any in the bottle at the end - that's a real bug bear of mine & I'll always cut my tubes in half & make sure I use every last bit. It's surprising how much is left when you cut packaging open.
    Jane xx
