Holiday Inspiration Part 1 & WIWT Stripes & Ruffles

Morning ladies, if like me you're well & truly on the countdown to your holidays (2 weeks & counting!!) your mind has no doubt started to think about what to pack.  As like previous years I plan on covering what I'm taking together with sharing my daily outfits whilst we're away but in the meantime I thought it would be useful to look at the one item of clothing you wear the most whilst holidaying in sunnier climates.  Yup I'm talking swimwear, a word that most of us women dread in terms of the thought of wearing so little clothing in front of others.

For most of us I don't think it's ever going to be an item of clothing we're going to feel 100% comfortable in especially those first few days when out bodies feel whiter than white but invest in good quality & timeless classic pieces & it's definitely going to help.  Plus if you love what you're wearing & have confidence that it's not going to slip/move & holds you in where you need it then it's a great start to feeling body confident.  Factor in a cheeky cocktail by the pool & you'll be good to go ;-)

Here's just a selection of the swimwear that's currently catching my eye - from one pieces to bikinis.   I'd advise investing in classic stylish styles that can come out year after year & personally for me I don't think you can go wrong with plain swimwear.  As I prefer to alter my look through accessories & of course it's much easier to disguise if someone else just so happens to be wearing the same costume/bikini if it's plain.

Then moving onto beach cover ups & kaftans.  Again it's best to keep them simple & timeless & lets face it you're never going to go wrong with whites or blacks with some lace/broderie/embroidery detailing.

Back to today & I'm bringing out a new purchase that I just couldn't resist.  Sometimes the simplest of outfits are all in the detail aren't they & I don't seem to be able to resist a frill or two at the moment!

So ladies what's your thoughts on swimwear?  Do you see anything to tempt you?  Or are you totally ready & on the countdown till you can break out your new or tried & tested faithfuls?  I can certainly vouch for the quality of the pieces from Coco Bay, a brand I was lucky enough to work with last year & who have kindly sent me some new pieces for our summer holidays this year that I can't wait to wear (see here).  In fact if you're still needing a few summer pieces the discount code of MID20 is still valid on all orders on their website so if you are tempted, now's a great time to give them a try & make a great saving.

Have a lovely day & I'll see you tomorrow.
