Holiday Make Up Must Haves & WIWT

Today ladies I thought it would be good to start thinking ahead to summer holidays, as no doubt like me you're now well on the countdown to your time away from home.

If you're like me the aim to travel a little lighter to our previous travels is always something I aim for as the less time I'm packing & unpacking the better.  But one area I always struggle with is toiletries - apart from decanting larger pots & potions into small sample pots (or taking samples) I've never been able to condense my make up bag.

It's no secret that I'm a massive Charlotte Tilbury fan (you can see the products I use daily here) & last year I took a couple of new products away with me that are definitely being packed again this year as they are just perfect for sun kissed skin & will finally enable me to take a make up bag smaller than my carry on bag!

So firstly I  shall substitute my normal Bronze & Glow for the Ibiza Beach Stick, which glides on really easily to your skin straight from the applicator & is extremely easy to blend with your fingers.

Then instead of my normal powder blusher I'll use this Beach Stick, which is a pretty pink shade (other shades are available here) that can not only be used as a blusher but also on your lips too.

And the third product that I'm loving for summer, that didn't make it on holiday last year but is most definitely coming this year is Supermodel Body.  Which is described as 'slimmer shimmer that acts like shapewear lingerie for the skin'.  I just love the delicate shimmer this product has & if it helps lengthen & slim my limbs as well as enhance my tan even better.  Plus it's incredibly easy to apply with it's roller ball applicator & personally I feel like it's a bit of luxury after showering & getting ready for an evening.

On top of this I'll naturally take my Light Wonder Foundation, (in a darker shade to normal) which I always use with Wonder Glow (seriously if you only try one product you should give this a go), mascara, eye liner & in the interests of travelling light I'm thinking of giving one of these cream eyeshadows a try as then I wouldn't even need to take any make up brushes away with me.

Lipstick wise having loved the nude shades in Charlotte's range you'll probably have noticed that I've  recently embraced red lips with So Marilyn so I've been thinking about investing in another new brighter shade for holiday - perhaps a bright pink to team with my Beach Stick.

If you follow Charlotte on social media you will have noticed that she's recently launched a new line of lipsticks called Hot Lips - 12 new lipsticks that she has developed with 12 inspirational celebrity women in mind that not only make you feel good but if bought within the next 2 months will benefit the charity Women For Women International.  With £1 for every lipstick sold being donated to the charity, who work to better the lives of women worldwide, who are affected by extremism & conflict occurring within their country.

As luck would have it Charlotte Tilbury recently got in touch to offer me the opportunity to pick one of these new lipsticks to review & faced with the dilemma of which shade to choose I decided to release my inner Miranda & go with Miranda May.  My thought process being that her's was probably the nearest to my colourings (don't worry I'm under no illusion that we are in any way similar in looks or age!!) as of course it's always a little bit difficult to choose a new lippy without trying it on first.  Plus as it's described as a 'fresh pinky coral, inspired by the sunsets of Malibu & Bondi Beach' it sounded the perfect shade for summer nights.

And here's the lipstick on me.

I also received a sample of her new legendary brows in clear, which sculpts, shapes & adds structure, which is available in a 3 different shades plus clear.

I tried the clear version, which as someone who has their eyebrows tinted regularly is perfect for keeping your eyebrows tidy to maximise their shape.  With the micro brush it's easy to apply, going on smoothly & is light to the touch so you can't feel or tell that you're wearing anything but it stops those niggly strays from falling out of line & helps maintain a more groomed appearance.

Back to today & I'm sporting a new bargain scarf with my new lippy.

So ladies what do you think?  Are you a Charlotte Tilbury fan like myself?  If so have you taken a look at the new lippys?  Or perhaps you have yet to try the brand?  If so I really can't say how much I love all the products I've tried.  I can honestly say I've never been in love with make up as much as I am now & even my Mum is a total convert, which all started when we both went for a make over at the concession store in Selfridges last May.

Apart from the Goddess Skin Clay Mask I've yet to try any of the skin products but in an interest to travel light I've been saving up all my samples from my online orders & will be taking them away on holiday with me.  Anyone love her skincare?  And if so what do you recommend?

Enjoy your Sunday ladies, I'll be back in the morning.

    1. Oh you should definitely give it a try, I'm addicted to it. Have been using it every day since May 2015 & I'm only just over half way through my second bottle - it lasts for ages :-)
