Morning ladies today I wanted to share with you a pair of boots that are going to be perfect for seeing me through the coming season that I've just received from Lotus Shoes.
As you may recall I started working with Lotus Shoes during the summer when they sent me a pair of sparkly sandals, which I first showcased on the blog here. Having worn the sandals on numerous occasions during the summer & in particular on holiday in the heat & when walking a good 15 minute walk to & from the port I was really impressed with their durability & comfort - something I don't take too lightly when coping with sweltering conditions. So I was delighted when they recently got in touch to see if I'd like to review a pair of their boots for the coming season.
Seeing as my wardrobe already contains the odd pair of heeled ankle boots I decided I would look at practical boots that are going to stand me in good stead for the colder weather that were also stylish & warm enough to wear on long walks & that I won't feel like I'm wearing walking boots/wellies if we pop into the pub ;-) And I think you'll agree these beauties fit the bill perfectly.
I just love the button detailing on the leather outers of these boots, not to mention the faux shearling lining meaning my tootsies are going to be very comfy & warm on even the coldest of days. Plus they've even got a decent undergrip too so hopefully not slipsies if we've enjoyed the odd alcoholic beverage whilst out walking the dog :-) And being a lovely neutral tan colour they will go with just about everything in my wardrobe.
In terms of sizing I went for my normal size & the boots are plenty big enough. In fact I may even have been able to size down a size but as I generally wear a thick sock with this type of boot I think it may have been a little too tight.
And what better way to style them with some cosy cashmere & an old beloved blanket scarf.

You've styled the boots just perfectly. I love that stone jumper. Shame it's discontinued as I have been on a bit of a search for a not too thick longish stone jumper for a couple of years (yes, I am like a dog with a bone!) after seeing a casually stylish Swedish lady wearing one in Denmark. Oh, this us embarrassing, having typed that I remembered where I actually saw her. It was on a visit 5 years ago!! I do not give up once I get the bit between my teeth so can you help this clearly obsessive reader?!

Oh my goodness Mary I'm so with you when I've got something particular in mind & won't give up until I track it down. Cue many hours spent googling searching & racking my brain but it's generally worth it!

Would these boots be good for extremely skinny legged girls?
ReplyDeleteHi I think you'd probably need to try them as it would depend on how fitted you wanted them to your legs etc but you can get a rough idea of the fit of them on my legs from the top picture. I've just checked & it's free delivery but you do have to pay for your returns. Although if you sign up to their newsletter there's 10% off your first order.
