Morning ladies today I'm wearing a couple of pieces I've been sent by the lovely ladies at The Women's Society Boutique. Firstly this loose fit shirt that has a lovely bit of detailing in the tie sleeves & an incredibly flattering neckline which is just perfect for layering & wearing with a few fine chains.
And secondly these stunning skinny jeans, which not only are flattering but most importantly have lots of lovely lyrca meaning they're also very comfy to wear. As well as being high waisted, so perfect for keeping everything tucked in & hidden ;-)
In terms of sizing I'm wearing the jeans in a size 26 (UK 8), which I would say are true to size & the shirt in a size S, which is a great loose fit without being shapeless.
Now you may recall that I've previously worked with The Women's Society in the summer but for those of you who have yet to take a peek at their site they stock a whole host of fab designs including Ash, Elia B, J Brand, Gina Bacconi, Olivia Burton & Seven Boot Lane to name just a few. Plus the fab news is that they've kindly given me a discount code to share with you for 20% off when you shop online & all you need to do is click here & use code MIDLIFE20 at the checkout. Plus the code is valid till the 1st of January so well worth jotting down :-)
Happy shopping ladies, here's hoping the week gets off to a flying start & for those of you struggling with the first day back after half term here's hoping the early start wasn't too much of a struggle.
Back in the morning but in the meantime Happy Halloween.
Morning ladies today I wanted to take a peek at Great Plains, a brand I featured last season here & show you some of my favourite pieces from their latest collection & how I'd suggest styling them. And seeing as they've currently got 30% off (click here) with code GP30AW today seemed like perfect timing :-)
I think you will agree from the above & below style inspiration they have a strong offering for Autumn/Winter & what I love most is that they're timeless pieces that not only can be brought out season after season but with a few tweaks can be brought bang up to date to reflect the latest trends.
Plus there's a lot of lovely gorgeousness in my favourite colour palette for the season - I don't know about you but I seem to be developing a strong weakness for anything navy, black or grey again this year :-0
Now I've been lucky enough to have been allowed to choose a couple of pieces to style & whilst I was sorely tempted by the beauties above I decided to choose something a little bit different & go for their tiered lace maxi skirt & their matching folkloric-inspired blouse,
One of the reasons I was immediately drawn to the skirt & top was because I just new it would make a great outfit when teamed with my navy leather biker jacket & a pair of block heeled boots.
And the other reason was because I just love the idea that separates can be worn together to look like a one piece but also utilised & worn separately to create different looks too.
Now in my opinion the images on their website didn't do these items justice as they're much more vibrant in real life & the fabric falls beautifully.
Like I've already mentioned they're really versatile pieces to add to my wardrobe & the top can so easily be dressed down with distressed jeans & trainers for a day or errands, or an 'A' line faux leather skirt but will equally look lovely, or come the warmer months with denim cut offs & a panama.
And the skirt well the outfit options are endless. Team with cosy knitwear like I have today, or a simple white shirt & ballet pumps for a differnt look. I'm also thinking a simple denim shirt, as well as a navy polo neck & in the summer months a simple navy camisole. Like I said it's incredibly versatile.
So ladies are Great Plains a brand you shop in or have you been passing it by? If so I'd certainly suggest you put them back on your radar as they have a great collection this season. I've only featured a small selection in my post today but for more Autumn inspiration click here & don't forget to use code GP30AW to get 30% off :-)

Morning ladies today I want to introduce you to a fairly new brand that has recently come to my attention called LaBante who are stocked at House of Fraser.
Created in 2009 the brand has the ethos of 'fashion with respect' & design & produce bags & jewellery that are not only vegan friendly but environmentally friendly & ethnically produced. With the aim of giving 'consumers the experience of luxury, the finest craftsmanship of a timeless aesthetic, whilst respecting the world we live in'.
I've been lucky enough to have been sent their Cabriole Tote & whilst I know that these days it can be hard to tell the difference between faux & real leather, knowing that the bag had been PETA approved I have to admit I found it really hard to tell that it wasn't made from real leather as the quality & finish of the bag are spot on.
Available in both bordeaux & black & measuring 40cm x 36cm x 15cm I decided to pick the colour bordeaux as I just love this winter red teamed with all the neutrals of black, navy & grey. Plus I loved the contrast snake detailing on the handles which I felt stood out more in this colourway.
As you can see from the below picture there's plenty of compartments & pockets to keep the contents of your handbag nice & tidy & the large middle zip pocket means your valuables can remain nice & secure. Plus it also comes with a detachable shoulder strap for anyone needing to go hands free.
Or as shown in the below picture can even be worn over your shoulder.
As you can see in the above picture I'm using the bag today & I'm really impressed with the brand. Timeless designs, beautifully made that are ethnically produced makes it a win win for me.
In fact I'm already eyeing up a few more pieces from their latest collection, which I thought I'd share with you below.
As well as my new bag I also wanted to share with you a new beauty product plus a couple of great discount codes. Regular followers will know that I've recently started to add a few products from REN Skincare to my daily beauty regime (see here for full details). So when I was recently asked if I'd like to trial their Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask I didn't hesitate in saying yes.
Previously I've been using a clay face mask twice a week, which leaves my skin brighter & smoother but since recently reviewing my skincare I had started to think that I should probably only be using this once a week & had started to look at a different mask I could use alongside this. So you could say it was perfect timing when I received the Ren Skincare one through my letterbox :-)
So what it a Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask? Well if you look at Ren Skincare's website it is described as a 'potent bio active peel mask designed to renew the complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines & drastically improve skin tone'. Sounds perfect doesn't it?!
As you can see from the above picture the mask is quite a clear thick consistency that contains glycolic acid, lactic acid, citric acid & tartaric acid all taken from fruit extracts to gently exfoliate & encourage cell renewal. As well as Omega 3 to repair, regenerate & prevent scarring, Omega 7 to repair & reduce chronic inflammation & Papain to exfoliate & reduce inflammation.
It smells gorgeous & as you can see above it is best applied generously to a cleansed face & neck, which should then be left for approximately 10 minutes.
As you can see the product really soaks into the skin & once ready to remove is easily removed by wiping off with the dampened cloth provided, followed by the rinsing your skin in warm water.
So what do I think of the product? Well the first thing I noticed was how smooth & bright my skin felt immediately after removal & yes possibly better in appearance to. It certainly seemed plumper & looked refreshed. I've only used the product a few times but I really do like the feel of it on my skin, so much so I've now added it to my weekly routine in the hope that it will impact my skin's appearance further. Plus I have to say I'm also liking the difference in texture & feel to my normal clay mask & am hoping that by using each of the two products once a week this will benefit me & they will work well together.
If you're on the look out for a new face mask REN Skincare currently have 30% off all face masks till the 31st of October. Just click here to take advantage of the offer & use code MASK30.
And finally there's currently 25% off on selected items over at ASOS see here (until 8am tomorrow morning), so I thought it would be rude not to share my top 14 buys. Just click on the arrows to scroll through.
So has anyone heard of LaBante or perhaps even own one of their products? If so I'd love to hear what you think. If not, does the idea of goods that are vegan & environmentally appeal to you or is it something that wouldn't stop you making a purchase?
Don't forget to take a peek at REN's face masks (see here) 30% off is a great saving especially if you fancy trying something new!
Enjoy your Wednesday & don't forget Hush's flash sale is still live (here). As always I'll see you in the morning.
Happy Tuesday ladies, firstly apologises to those of you who read my blog first thing of a morning as the Hush flash sale that was due to start yesterday had to be delayed. However the good news is that it's going live today from 10:30am :-) So how about a little treat to get your day started the right way?!
With up to 50% off on selected pieces, including cosy cashmere, luxurious leather & stunning knitwear, I'm thinking it would be rude not to take a peek & all you have to do to take advantage of the offer is simply click here to get shopping.
But if the thought of up to 64% off isn't enough to tempt you then how about the above images highlighting some of the fab pieces included in the sale?!
Back to today & I'm breaking out some more of my favourite colour palette for Autumn & Winter - grey, denim & white, which will no doubt be something you'll know I love this time of year. Throw in a splash of black, some leopard print & the odd bit of colour & you've got my whole wardrobe for this time of year.
So today it's an old pair of distressed skinnies teamed with one of my favourite shirts from last winter & a new jacket addition from J Crew, which is just timeless & well worth the investment.
Enjoy your day ladies. Another busy one for me with a dash of pilates to stretch my back out. I don't know about you but I'm definitely thinking a little pitstop & a peek at Hush's flash sale (see here!) is a definite priority this morning ;-)
