Stunning Shoes For SS17 + WIWT - All The Classics

Happy Saturday ladies.  Before I share my outfit for today I just had to show you some of the stunning new into store shoes Marks & Spencer are currently selling.  Lots of gorgeousness, in fact I've already 'clicked the button' on these & these!  I've put together my edit of the ones that are really catching my eye above but you can see the full range here.

Back to what I'm wearing today & sometimes (in fact most of the time!) you just can't go wrong with the classics & some outfits you know as soon as you throw them on that it works.  Which is how I feel about today's look.

Navy Tuxedo - J Crew
Breton - J Crew
Jeans - J Crew
Ballet Pumps - French Sole

All The Classics

Blazer - Hobbs
Breton - J Crew
Bag - John Lewis
Jeans - AG
Ballet Pumps - Dune

Now the eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that I've been increasing my collection of J Crew clothing & this navy tuxedo is one of the pieces I've recently bought.  Although you may be amazed to know that when it first arrived I nearly sent it back!  Yes I know I must have been having an off day as goodness knows why I didn't fall in love with it instantly especially as I managed to grab it in their sale with a 70% reduction - cue happy dance :-)  I think the main reason was the lapels weren't falling correctly & needed a press. So I put it to one side & tried it on again after ironing & of course fell head over heels in love.

One top tip I've picked up since ogling the J Crew site on a regular basis is that they are constantly updating their sale section with sizes coming back in & out of stock on a daily basis so it's DEFINITELY worth a browse (see here) as you can get some serious reductions, & pieces you thought were sold out suddenly reappear in quite a few different sizes.  Perfect if like me you're looking to update some of your wardrobe with more timeless classics at a fraction of their original cost & the quality & cut really is so much better than a lot of the brands on the high street.  I'm fast becoming addicted :-0

So a normal Saturday with the karate run bang in the middle of day - cue sneaky lunch a la deux for hubby & I & maybe even a spot of painting!

Enjoy your day ladies & as always I'll see you in the morning.

  1. I have already raided the new shoe range. Bought three pairs of shoes / sandals for summer. M&S suit me well as they do 3 1/2 which is not always readily available and their insolia range is so comfortable. Same with jeans nice petite lengths. So those studded sandals of yours. Love them sooo very much but didn't buy them as at 5ft 3 inch they will steal precious inches from me with their thick ankle strap. Can't wait to see them styled on you though. However your post prompted me to return to their shoe offerings and I found grey suede wedge espadrilles in my size. So I'm content with those. Happy weekend.

  3. How do you find J Crew for returns? Luckily I haven't had to return anything, but would love to know your experience?

    1. Hi Sarah J Crew are brilliant for returns. When I've purchased something over the phone from store & had to return it I've just had to pay postage, which via Royal Mail hasn't proved expensive & enclosed a note of my phone number & they've called me within 24 hours to refund the money back onto my card. The same goes with online returns. I haven't quite worked out the cost of returns as sometimes I've not had to paid & other times I've been charged £10 but you just book a slot with their couriers & they collect from you within 24 hours & all my refunds have been processed quickly.
      Hope this helps.
