Morning ladies the last couple of days have seen the sales start in earnest with emails pinging into our inboxes at an alarming rate notifying us of sales of up to 50% off. Of course 'clicking that button' can be all too tempting & before you know it you can easily have spent a small fortune on your favourite high street brand.
Over the past couple of seasons I've been trying to focus my attention to sales & discount codes from brands that would normally be out of my price bracket & invest in timeless classics that have that extra detailing, cut & quality that I know will last me many years to come & with the aid of major wardrobe cullings have been able to purchase a few key items.
Of course I'm never going to be able to afford to buy just designer clothing but by mixing & matching higher end pieces with high street favourites I'm building what I hope will be a timeless wardrobe.
One of my favourite labels when funds allow is Isabel Marant Etoile & I would highly recommend you keeping an eye out in the sales for some of her pieces as they really are beautiful.
No matter what brand or high street store you're shopping at think about shopping timeless pieces that you know will never date - pretty statement tops are perfect for throwing on with jeans or dressing up with cigarette pants & they really do make the simplest of outfits. So do statement shoes & of course a timeless white summer dress will always be reached for during sunny times & of course items such as jeans that you wear all year long all make great key investments.
