Happy Saturday ladies. So before I show what I'm wearing I thought it might be worth sharing with you some of my recent J Crew purchases that have now hit the sales.
You might have noticed that J Crew have become a HUGE weakness of mine over recent months. If you've not yet shopped there then they seriously are worth putting on your radar - the quality & cut is so much better than a lot of the high street brands & their clothing is just timeless, which helps in the justification of spending that little bit extra. I've mentioned before that I've had some serious bargains in their sales section online & am constantly amazed at how pieces that have sold out weeks ago will keep popping back in in a whole host of sizes so it's definitely worth checking on a weekly basis. You can see their full sales collection here but I thought it might be helpful if I put together my edit of the items I've bough in recent months that are now in the sale & worth checking out.
I know some of you might be a little daunted at ordering online without knowing a brand's sizing but I'm generally a UK 8 & find myself to be between a size 0 or 2 in their skirts/dresses & trousers, or for their jeans a 25, an XS in their tops & a 2 in their blazers, although if you're thinking of 'clicking the button' on the stunning grey knitted blazer definitely size down - mine is a XXS. In terms of shoes I'm usually a 6½ UK/40 & have found either their 9 medium or 9H medium to be a good fit. I also look at the size & fit recommendation based on other shoppers to gauge whether to go up or down in size.
Back to today & it's a day of simple styling for me & seeing as the heatwave seems to have disappeared for now a bit of a non-summer all black look.

No matter what season I'm always drawn to all black outfits as I think they look incredibly stylish & understated. So today I've teamed a simple military styled shirt with some old cigarette pants & finished the look off with a pair of leopard print ballet pumps for a much need bit of interest.
A normal Saturday morning here then off out for a late lunch with my boys before crashing on the sofa this evening - bliss :-)
