Splurge Or Steal + A Couple Of New Purchases + WIWT Cropped Culottes

Acne Studios Canada Fringed Wool Scarf

Morning ladies there's a few confessions of the purchase variety to report on so I thought I'd bring you up to date on some new additions.

Starting with a stunning grey wool scarf - yes I know it's summer & this is truly winter territory but it's such a fab steal & a great look-a-likey to the Acne one above that I'm convinced it's going to sell out fast.  Plus due to it's size & weight it makes a great shawl, so perfect for packing in hand luggage when travelling on holiday ;-)

I seem to live in my grey cashmere scarf come the colder weather & I love the Acne scarf above so when I spotted the below beauty & had a 20% off code I thought it worth investigating further.  Having taken delivery of this beauty I can confirm it's a firm keeper.  The same size (in fact slightly larger than the Acne one) & made from 100% lambswool I'm guessing the only difference is the designer tag & maybe a slight difference in the quality of wool, although the Acne one isn't cashmere.

Now the next item to find a new home in my wardrobe is this lovely pink military shirt.  I've got a very similar design in a few different colours & it's such a flattering style to wear I couldn't resist getting the pink.  Although I was nearly put off by the frayed edge on the hem but a quick visit to my local tailors & that's been dealt with :-)

You may recall that I've mentioned several times on the blog how I've been on the hunt for an off the shoulder navy cashmere jumper & in fact ended up purchasing this cotton one as it was the only one I could find, which is a fab casual jumper, that I wore the other day.  But I've since found this cashmere one so needless to say it's also hanging in my wardrobe as this will be perfect for a more smarter look  not to mention cosier come the cooler months & it has the most lovely detailing on the shoulders.

Of course I couldn't resist a couple of sales purchases, one of which is a new tuxedo jacket, which has unfortunately now sold out & disappeared off the site so I'm unable to link to that but the other sales purchase, apart from this leather skirt, was this tweed jacket......well you along with the hubby would be shocked if there weren't a couple of new jacket additions surely ;-)

And finally I think I've forgotten to fess up to this maxi dress, which was purchased a while back - a timeless summer dress that will definitely come away with me & I'm looking forward to wearing year after year.

Oh & of course I ended up 'clicking that button' on this top yesterday - well it would be rude not to investigate further surely?!! ;-)

Back to today & the sun is back :-)  So I'm keeping things pretty simple with a loose fit stripe blouse worn with my new cropped culottes & a pair of ballet pumps.

So ladies anyone fancy sharing their recently purchases?  Maybe like me you've found some sales bargains & perhaps made a few purchases that will see you through to next season?  Or perhaps you're purely concentrating on clothing to wear on holiday & during the summer months.  As always I'd love to hear what's caught your eye or if you've managed to avoid temptation, what's your secret?!

Have a fab day & I'll see you in the morning.
