Holiday Purchases + WIWT - A Pop Of Leopard

my midlife fashion, shopping, new purchases

Morning ladies I thought today would be the perfect day to confess to some new purchases - both from holiday & a couple of sneaky ones before we left.

Naturally whenever we go away I always love a little time for shopping & purchasing the odd new piece that is not only something a little different but that will also bring back memories from our travels.

When in Majorca we always pop into Palma for some retail therapy & seeing as we had one day when the weather wasn't great we had a bit more time to explore & shop!

Scarf - AV29
Jewellery - Thomas Rath
Fan - Local Boutique

A couple of pieces us ladies will never have enough of has to be scarves & jewellery.  This scarf is actually sold as a beach cover up/sun towel but I thought it would make the perfect throw on scarf for casual days so it's a fab multi-tasker.  Plus the one item that has already been used a lot is my fan - have to say I never thought I'd be buying one of these but I love it!  Perfect for keeping cooler as the weather was very humid some nights & I must admit I really like the idea of being one of those ladies that uses a traditional fan #mustbegettingold but I think it's so elegant.

Naturally a few items of clothing also found their way home with me including a couple of new bags, a timeless pashmina, another jacket ;-0 & these stunning gold button detailed cropped trousers & crossover top.

Oh & there might have been a couple of cheeky purchases to report on what happened just before we left for holiday - well I did have a 20% voucher that needed using up ;-)  Firstly this sweatshirt, which I couldn't resist as a - it's navy & b - New York holds very special memories after hubby surprised me for our 10th wedding anniversary.

And also this camouflage jacket, which I've been toying with the idea of something similar for a few months & decided I needed to scratch that itch!

Back to today & it's some more wardrobe basics, which I'm livening up with a splash of 'Bet'.

So that's my confessions for this month out of the way.  Anyone care to share theirs?  There's so much temptation at the moment with all the new AW17 gorgeousness I'm finding it hard to resist.

Enjoy your day ladies & I'll see you in the morning.

  1. My confession or treat to myself is buying a new shirt for work costing 12.00, the first purchase to myself in over 23 yrs. Welcome to the real world Jane.

  2. I'm awaiting a bag of goodies from Marks and Spencer, not sure yet if anything will be worth keeping as the items are not currently in store.

    1. Marks have got lots of lovely new pieces coming into store at the moment. I'm really hoping they release some more colours of their cashmere ballet wrap but we'll have to wait & see. Enjoy the trying on session when your delivery arrives & fingers crossed there's some keepers inside :-)

  3. Hi Jane
Loving your purchases! Another brand here in Spain is Oysho. I might have mentioned them to you before? Beautiful lingerie, cosy lounge wear
and stylish fitness gear. I treated myself to some great underwear and workout stuff last week. I'm not sure if they're in the UK yet? X

    1. Hi Julie I was trying to remember the name of that brand when we were in Majorca but couldn't find where I'd made a note of it. Have added it to my list of brands to check out when we're next there. Thanks again for the tip Iovely.

  5. Hi Jane, where do you stay when you visit Mallorca please? We are thinking of booking for next year but have never been before. Your holiday posts always look fab & we fancy trying there (obviously nothing to do with the shopping potential as I said to my hubby!!). Thanks, Gail
