Style Steal + WIW Casual Sunday

Shay Mitchell

Morning ladies, for this month's celebrity style steal I'm taking a look worn by Shay Mitchell from the hit show Pretty Little Liars.

As soon as I saw this picture I knew it was one I needed to consign to my memory as it's the perfect going out look when you don't know what to wear or if you don't want to appear too dressy.  Plus we've probably all got similar pieces hanging in our wardrobes so it's an easy look to re-create.

Being timeless pieces the look is also quite easy to re-create from picks currently on the high street.  So les start with the blouse.

Now if you're looking to recreate Shay's exact style then this wrap over blouse is perfect & something that can easily be dressed up or down.  Plus being a cross over style is super flattering on the neckline.

However, if you prefer something a little less revealing you might prefer this silk shirt.  I've already bought this a few weeks back & can vouch for it's quality.  For me if it's a choice between a cross over blouse or a classic shirt then I'll always go with the latter as no matter how much I love the wrap over style I just think a simple, tailored shirt is just far more practical & timeless.

And other stories straight fit silk shirt

Now if you don't already own a metallic gold clutch then it really is a great investment to make.  I find mine perfect for teaming with most outfits whilst on holiday & as Shay is showing above it makes a great evening accessory.  It's just perfect for adding that little bit of 'wow' factor to the simplest of looks & depending on choice of design & fabric it needn't be too bling-tactic either.  I think the below ruched fabric clutch is perfect in terms of creating a bit of sparkle without being the first thing you notice about the outfit.

Moving onto the jeans next & to avoid the all black outfit looking too solid or heavy you'll notice that Shay has gone with a faded pair of black skinny jeans, with a small amount of distressed/ripped detailing.  So the below soft black pair of skinnies, whilst not distressed would be perfect for recreating the look & a great multi-tasking pair to own.

Then the final piece of the look - the shoes.  I know Shay is wearing a simple black court shoe, which if you're looking for something similar you can find them here.  However, I just had to include the below pair as part of my style steal.  I mean seriously these are stunning & available in five different colours, but be warned they're selling out fast!

Back to today & for a quiet one at home it's a simple look consisting of an off the shoulder cashmere jumper teamed with some distressed skinny jeans.

So ladies what do you think of the look?  Is it something you could see yourself wearing for a night on the town or perhaps for you it's just that little bit too plain & needs more colour/acessories adding?  As always I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Enjoy your day ladies & as always I'll see you in the morning.
