Morning ladies so how's everyone's Christmas celebrations going so far?! I hope it's been everything & more that you hoped for & you're now enjoying the down time between the Christmas festivities & welcoming in the new year.
We've hopefully got a very exciting day ahead but before I tell you more, today I thought I'd share with you some of my top buys from the season. Some of which are investment pieces but all things I've never regretted 'clicking that button' on. There's even a few beauty products that I've invested in during the past few months that I'm loving & can highly recommend.
What's interesting looking at the images is, it certainly shows I have a favourite & neutral colour palette with the exception of the hot pink scarf, but I guess there's no surprises there! Plus as you can see they're all pretty timeless & classic pieces, which if you're going to invest your hard earned cash has to be the way forward. Back to today & talking of neutrals & classics here's what I'm wearing.
So I mentioned earlier in the post that we'd hopefully got a special day ahead & I must admit there's much excitement in our household, so mush so I've hardly slept (especially as last night we were predicted a heavy snowfall which would have meant we'd had to cancel our plans!). Luckily we haven't had as much snow as was predicted so we're currently keeping our fingers & toes crossed that where we've got to get to also isn't snowed in as today we're due to collect our new puppy :-) To say we are all beyond excited is an understatement as we've all desperately missed our previous dog Huxley who sadly left us several weeks ago. The house just hasn't felt the same & it's been so hard trying to come to terms with the huge gap in our hearts that he's left behind. So luckily after lots of searching, phone calls & emails we've been able to find a new puppy to love & having met him a couple of weeks ago today's the day he can finally come home :-)

So lots of excitement & no doubt lots of dog training & keeping an eye out that he doesn't chew too many things whilst trying to get a handle on the toilet training but we know it will so be worth the effort. Plus with a quiet few days at home it's the perfect time to settle him in......let's just hope the weather plays ball!
Needless to say today's outfit is all about comfort & something to keep warm in whilst I sneak snuggles all the way home :-) Provided all goes to plan I'll pop a picture over on Instagram later here once we're all settled back home.

So happy you're getting a new puppy - the house certainly doesn't feel the same without a special little friend to love (and get plenty of love from in return). Safe travels and sneak all the snuggles you can!

You're definely right about the home not feeling the same without a pet & Bailey is already making his presence known :-) We're all absolutely in love with him & so far so good he seems to be settling in really well. So much so we're tempted by a second! I'm absolutely loving all the snuggles & cuddles :-)
