Make It Happen + WIW

Morning ladies & happy hump day.  I don't know about you but once we hit Wednesday the week always seems that much more do-able, which is probably something to do with the fact that there's only two more sleeps ahead until we hit Fri-yay!

I want to continue a theme from my post at the weekend of fitness & today talk a little bit about how we can make it more achievable & manageable.

One lady who's certainly shown anything is possible in the fitness stakes is Davina McCall, I mean seriously did you see the posts on social media over recent weeks showcasing her abs?!  What I love about her is she just seems one of those celebrities who is pretty down to earth & could so easily be one of your group of girlfriends.  There's no airbrushing or photoshopping when she posts photos of her six pack & like all of us who've borne children you can see this, which to me makes her one of us & someone you can think well if she can do it so can I!  I mean seriously what's stopping us?

I for one never used to exercise, actively hid from PE lessons at school & if you'd have said I'd now hate missing my morning run or be getting up at silly o'clock to fit my exercise routine into my day I'd have asked you if you were mad!  But by taking that initial step, investing in the right clothing (which seriously doesn't have to cost a fortune) & making that commitment to yourself you can start your fitness journey.  Of course we all have different levels of fitness so it doesn't have to be anything as ambitious as running the marathon, just a small commitment to yourself that will hopefully improve your fitness & well being & most importantly make you feel good.

I've been asked by Tesco's F & F Clothing if I would put together some looks for achieving our fitness goals from Davina's latest active campaign, of which, the full collection can be found here.  You may recall I did a similar post in the Summer (see here) & having worn the pieces featured for a variety of exercise & on numerous occasions I'm more than happy to recommend the sportswear. Not only is it well cut with stylish prints & coordinating layers, the clothing features reflective strips for workouts in the dark.  Together with well fitting bottoms & tops that stay put so there's no worry about having to keep pulling things up or down.  Plus they're also ideal for working out due to their breathable quick drying fabric making it perfect for all weathers (including the rain ;-) So no reason not to get out there even when it's tipping it down).  On top of all this & here's the big plus, at the moment there's currently 20% off selected sportswear (until Sunday) making their affordable active wear even cheaper, so you really don't have any excuses!

Plus should you need a bit of additional inspiration or a helping hand why not check out Davina's hugely popular DVDs such as her Toned In 10 or 30 Day Fat Burn.  After all with her fitness plans & active wear with F & F Clothing she's managed to help so many people own their fitness target why not join them & own your new year's fitness resolutions too.

So tempted to make 2018 the year you stick to your fitness resolutions?  If so here's my top looks for doing it in style.

In keeping with today's theme & instead of sharing my outfit post, I'm sharing the active wear I've picked from F & F Clothing's latest collection.

I especially love the fact that the leggings are high waisted so perfect for holding our mum tums in.

I'm not usually a fan of hoodies but this one is not only really flattering as it's not made from super thick bulky fabric but it also has some lovely design features such as the side tie.  Plus the top is a lovely longer length in the body, which can be hard to find in gym wear.

So ladies anyone care to join me in putting it down in writing some of their fitness goals for 2018?  I'm pledging to do 5 mat based pilate sessions a week on top of my normal exercise plan - not only to help tone & improve my core but I must admit when done under our disco ball with some relaxing music it's really rather tranquil.  Well apart from my heavy breathing as I try to engage & find my stomach muscles, but I'm hoping it will help get me bikini ready for the summer as well as have benefits for my mental well being too.  After all with life being as busy as it is & a new puppy & another due to come home in a few weeks a little bit of 'me time' is a definite must.

Enjoy your day & as always I'll be back in the morning.
