Beauty Updates + WIW - Slogan Heaven

my midlife fashion, ren skincare radiance tonic, ren skincare glycol lactic radiance renewal mask

Morning ladies it's time for another beauty update as I've bought a couple of new products & also been sent a few samples to try.

Now if you've been following me for a while you might remember that I've previously reviewed REN Skincare's Radiance Renewal Mask (see here).  I've been using the mask once a week since reviewing it & only finished the product about a month or so ago!  So a good product in terms of value for money.  Now it's been on my list to replace but with one thing & another (not to mention the arrival of 2 puppies!) I'd not got round to it & without realising it had started to notice my skin looking drier, which I'm guessing is because I've been using my my clay mask twice a week instead of my normal once a week.  So I was delighted when REN Skincare happened to send me a further sample.  The fact that I've noticed the difference to the appearance to my skin not to mention the longevity of the product for me speaks for itself & needless to say it's now being used in earnest again once a week.

REN Skincare also sent me a sample of their new Radiance Tonic, which is part of the same range as the Radiance Mask.  I've been using it a couple of weeks & from the first application I loved it.  Easy to dispense in a handy pump (you just need approximately 3 pumps to soak a cotton wool pad) & the smell is absolutely heavenly.  Gentle enough to use on a daily basis, both morning & night, the toner has been designed to exfoliate, brighten & even out skin tone, whilst helping to reduce pore size.  From the first application my skin felt lovely & soft & of course it's so much more gentle on the skin than other exfoliators.

charlotte tilbury hot lips secret salma lipstick

Having not been well at the start of the year I fancied an instant 'pick me up', so what better way than a new lippie?!  Naturally my port of call for such a mission was my favourite make up brand Charlotte Tilbury & having done a little research online for something a little brighter than my normal colours but that wasn't 'in your face' bright I fell in love & treated myself to the above shade.  I wear it with this lipliner & because I'm not a huge fan on matt lipticks layer with this lip gloss.

And to compliment my new lipstick I also treated myself to this new shade of blusher.

my midlife fashion, caudalie french kiss tinted lip balm

However, if you're not really into lipsticks & prefer more of a tinted lip balm then I can highly recommend Caudalie's French Kiss tinted lip balms.  They smell gorgeous & give a subtle hint of colour without being too glossy.  I can't even begin to describe the smell from the three pots when I took the above photo.  My favourite shade for just a hint of colour on my lips has to be this one.

The final product I've been trying this month is Caudalie's well-being tea, which is a mixture of red vine, blackcurrant, blueberry, sweet orange peel & cinnamon.  This arrived in a surprise parcel with my tinted lip balms, tastes gorgeous with the added benefit of promoting well being & possible weight loss :-)

Back to today & I'm wearing a new slogan knit sent to me by Hush, which just so happens to feature a splash of my favourite shade of green that I'm looking to incorporate more of into my wardrobe.  Now it will come as now surprise that I love a slogan knit, especially when it's available in grey & has such a fab message.  I'm wearing the XS & would say it's true to size.  I have a feeling these won't be around for long so go, go, go ladies!

So that's my round up of new products this month.  Anyone else treated themselves to something new they'd like to share?  I'd love to hear of your recommendations.  I'm currently contemplating this as my first purchase for next month.  Anyone tried it?

Have a great day & see you in the morning.

  1. Gosh, in today's climate, love definitely does save the day, doesn't it?!? I also just bought a new CT lipstick! I have to order mine online as it isn't as easy to get where I live. Hopefully it arrives today!
