So bit of a late one last night for us with lovely friends celebrating Christmas Eve & eating turkey & cranberry sandwiches well turned midnight.  Then of course me being me I've hardly slept as I just LOVE Christmas - I think I'll still be the same in old age but there's just something so magical & special about it all even though our son is no longer a little one.

Anyway this morning has all been about opening presents in our PJ's whilst sipping bubbles & scoffing chocolates (wouldn't this be a fab way to start every day?!) & now we're dressed & ready to get on with the cooking & celebration of the day ahead.

I've gone for comfort as well as glamour & teamed my bargain faux leather maxi skirt (which I managed to snag for £22.50) with an off the shoulder cashmere jumper.

Happy Christmas Eve ladies - I don't know about you but I'm very excited (think big kid!) about the big day tomorrow!!!

No doubt like you all, it's a busy day ahead - from wrestling with the sheer amount of food in the fridge & trying to cram in a few more pieces, cleaning, prepping veg & cooking the turkey.  Then we're off to the village club this evening to start the celebrations with friends, with carols with the local wind band before everyone comes back to ours to see in Christmas Day with turkey & cranberries sandwiches - I can't wait!

Saying It With Flowers & Styling A Wool Coat

Morning ladies, it's not long now until all the hard work of shopping, wrapping & cooking will have hopefully paid off & we'll all be groaning over the sheer amount of food that we've consumed on Christmas Day!

Now along with all the Christmas decorations I always think it's nice to have some fresh flowers around the house, as next to candle light they look stunning & you can't beat fresh flowers for a centre piece come Christmas lunch.

You may recall that a couple of months ago I was sent a stunning bouquet of fresh flowers from Blossoming Gifts (see here) & I have to say I was really impressed with not only the speed, presentation & quality of the flowers but also the price too as buying fresh flowers isn't necessarily cheap, especially at this time of year.
