Morning ladies. Well we made it to the end of another week not to mention the end of March, which seems to have whizzed by!
Today I'm styling my outfit around a new piece of Cosy Cashmere, this time their boyfriend cardigan, which is just the perfect item for days where you need a relaxed extra layer than is perfect for teaming with denim. Plus it's a great long length, so it will be ideal for throwing over leather leggings. In terms of size I'm wearing a size M for a relaxed fit.
Now you might recall, as I've mentioned previously on the blog that Cosy Cashmere are closing their retail side down, which is a huge shame :-( But it does mean that they're holding a closing down sale with 50% off all fully priced cashmere items (see here) - every cloud & all that & they're definitely worth checking out. I've been really impressed with the pieces they've kindly sent me - see here & here. The sale is on until the 23rd of April so if you're tempted get 'clicking that button' as stock won't be being replaced & seriously once you've worn a piece of cashmere there's no going back! I must admit I'm tempted to get the cardi in black too as they're so useful for this time of year.
I don't know about you ladies but I'm on the countdown to wine o'clock.... not long now! Enjoy your day & as always I'll be back in the morning.
Morning ladies before I share my outfit, yesterday I had a little time to peruse the Office website & they've got some stunning new footwear for the coming season. So much so that I thought I'd share my top picks with you today as you may just have a 25% voucher from Grazia to spend, which unfortunately is only valid instore :-(
Back to what I'm wearing & I loved wearing my Bonmarche sweat top yesterday so much that I'm breaking out the navy version today & keeping things really simple with an all blue look. Although if the temperatures for today are to be believed I probably won't need my jacket on for long :-)
These sweatshirt bretons really are so lovely to wear - a great weight & thickness & drape brilliantly so if you haven't yet investigated them further I'd highly recommend it.
Can't believe tomorrow is the end of March already. I don't know about you but to me this year seems to be flying by.
Morning ladies today I'm talking skincare & in particular a relatively new brand you may or may not of heard of called Caudalie. A brand that favour 'natural & environmentally friendly active ingredients'. Who are against animal testing & whose products contain 0% paragons, phenoxyethand, phthalates, mineral oils, sodium laureate sulphate or animal ingredients.
With a variety of products to target various skin specifics & skin types their newest range is their Premier Cru range which has been designed to offer the ultimate anti-ageing products.
Inspired by the vintages of Bordeaux, the Premier Cru products are an exclusive blend of Caudalie's patents (Resveratrol, Viniferine & Polyphenols), which offer high performance active ingredients to correct all the signs of ageing in a single step.
I've been lucky enough to have been sent a couple of their products from this range to try - the Premier Cru eye cream & also a sample of the Premier Cru The Cream.
So starting with the eye cream, which is designed to instantly transform eyes, which as someone who's permanently tired, I was eager to see if it could offer any benefits. On their site the eye cream is described as a cream that will perfectly hydrate & smooth the skin whilst also making the skin firmer in appearance. That is designed to fade any puffiness & dark circles & brightening the eye area with renewed youth - yes please to all of that!
I've been using the eye cream for approximately 4 weeks now, applying both morning & evening & whilst the cream is definitely a thicker texture to eye creams I have previously used. I have found the cream lovely & light to apply, with quick absorption & feel that it has definitely made a difference to the appearance to the skin around my eyes & reduced the puffiness, so much so that I shall definitely continue using the product. Plus it can also be used on the lip contour area so I've also been applying the excess on my fingertips to my lip contour of an evening too - something I'd never previously thought of doing.
Eye Cream Top of Hand & Face Cream Underneath
Moving onto The Cream, this should also be applied morning & evening but as I already use my hyaluronic gel I've just been applying it after the gel of an evening. Again the cream is designed to make skin visibly younger with the aim to smooth wrinkles, firm & define facial contours & create a more even & radiant complexion. Now I'm always a little apprehensive using a product that is called a cream as I always think it's going to be too rich & heavy for my skin but that wasn't the case & like the eye cream the facial cream was light in texture & easily & quickly absorbed into my skin. However, if you do prefer something a little richer then they also offer La Creme Riche in the same range together with the Premier Cru The Elixir Facial Serum, which can be used both morning & evening & applied to the face, neck & decollete areas.
I have to admit to being really impressed with the products I've tried & would definitely recommend them (in fact my Mum has already placed an order on my endorsement), especially if you're looking for products that are natural & not tested on animals. As I mentioned they have a whole host of skincare to suit different needs, which you can see here. Plus if you sign up to their newsletter they'll even give you 10% off your first order :-)
Back to today & I'm breaking out one of my breton styled sweatshirts. As I mentioned in a previous post (see here) I'm really impressed by the quality of these & such a fab price point too it would be rude not to & definitely another of my 'must have' recommendations.
So ladies anyone tried Caudalie products or heard anything about the brand? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Not to mention if you have used some of the brand's products, your views & which ones you'd recommend.
Enjoy your day & as always I'll see you in the morning.
I'm styling up some neutrals with my ever useful faux leather trousers, which I'm teaming with a simple grey shirt & blazer & finishing the look off with some snake print pointed flats, that have to be one of the most comfy shoes I've worn & also come in a fab leopard print if anyone is on the look out for a pair.
Hubby's birthday today so a morning of chaos involving birthday confetti cannons & wrapping paper, which the dog just can't get enough of, seriously he'd eat it all if we'd let him! (I've posted a little clip of him on Instastories here). Then of course more celebrations this evening after work :-)
Happy Monday ladies. Before I share what I'm wearing today I thought we'd start the week with a few new beauty products.
As you all know I'm a huge Charlotte Tilbury fan (see my favourite products here), so you can imagine my delight when I received the above products, which include some that I'm already a huge fan of as well as her new Dry Sheet Face Masks.
I already use her Retoucher concealer & love it as it's not cakey like most concealers & instead I find it plumps & moisturises the skin to give a natural & luminous finish. Which due to it's combination of vitamins and black tea derivative creates a smooth seamless surface on which to apply your make up, whilst all importantly helping to conceal any imperfections. Plus it can even be used as a highlighter & if you check out some of Charlotte's YouTube videos you'll see she uses it down the centre of the nose too.
Now the Dry Sheet Face Masks are a new product of Charlotte's that I'd not tried before, but like you having seen so many celebrities photographed with similar masks before a red carpet event I was keen to put them to the test.
Available singularly or in packs of 4, I love the fact they're not a 1 hit wonder as each mask can be used 3 times in total & are designed to reduce wrinkles, brighten, lift, smooth & hydrate the skin. Now I was a little worried prior to trialling them that they could be a bit fiddly but application couldn't be easier. Simply apply the pink side onto cleansed skin, looping the top & bottom hooks over your ears & leave on for 15 minutes whilst you gently massage on top of the mask to activate. Then replace in it's packet for re-use. Like I say simples :-)
Having tried the product I found that once I'd got it into position, the mask was quite comfortable to wear, in fact I almost forgot I was wearing it whilst watching TV & doing normal things such as talking & drinking were fine. As for my skin, once I'd removed the mask my skin felt incredibly smooth & soft (usually before applying a normal mask I would exfoliate but I didn't with this one) & it had a lovely glow & brightness. It's always hard to describe the difference but overall I would say it just looked more healthy & rested & softer in terms of lines & wrinkles. So a definite result even after the first application.
Finally we probably all know that eyebrows frame your face, with well groomed brows helping to lift your face & turn back time. So Charlotte's Brow Lift is perfect in helping you up your brow game with the product offering a 3 in 1 solution. At one end you'll find a fab brush to groom your eyebrows, which I also find to be pretty good at removing an excess colour. Then towards the middle if you twist the product you'll find a highlighter for applying under your arch, with the other end of the product offering a cream/pencil to define & shape. Available in 5 different shades, I've been using Super Model & for anyone with dark hair like myself I find this shade perfect for my colouring.
Then on top (or instead) of the Brow Lift you can also use Charlotte's Legendary Brows, which comes in 4 different shades including clear. This product is designed to sculpt & shade the brows without leaving them looking too heavy or pencilled in. Previously I've used this product in clear & have been delighted with how well it manage to tame any unruly hairs that weren't falling where they should. However, I've now tried the product in Super Model & for me I prefer using it in a colour to match the Brow Lift as I find it helps add an extra bit of depth & definition without looking too done.
So thanks to Charlotte my brow game is now strong. If you look at the below picture you can see the difference the products make as my eyebrow on the right has a lot more definition & yup before anyone says it, I think it's safe to say I don't have botox ;-) Plus I'm definitely planning on incorporating her dry sheet face masks into my weekly routine.
Back to what I'm wearing today & I'm breaking out my cropped kick flare trousers.
Which I'm teaming with a statement pleated shirt paired with a classic biker jacket & ballet pump combo plus an all important pop of red.
Here's to a good week for us all & as always I'll be back in the morning. But in the meantime I'd love to know if you're a fan of Charlotte Tilbury's products & which ones you rate. Not to mention your thoughts on the new sheet masks.
Morning ladies it's time for my monthly style steal & for this month I thought I'd recreate this outfit of Nicky Hilton Rothchild. An outfit that is totally up my street (apart from the buggy - been there done that ;-) !!). Personally I just love everything about this look & the beauty of it is that each item would easily earn it's keep in anyone's wardrobe. Not to mention are total classics that will never date.
So let's start with the jacket - a classic single breasted black blazer that can so easily be dressed up or down. I'm loving the one below, which is slightly longer in length so super flattering & slimming on the hips.
Then onto the t-shirt & a simple crew neck is perfect for layering under a blazer, biker or even used as an extra layer come the cooler months. I love the fact that the below t-shirt doesn't have too higher neckline.
A pair of simple plain black skinny jeans are another wardrobe 'must have' as they're so easy to dress up or down & can form the basis on many an outfit. These look a fab pair for anyone needing to invest & I'm loving the ankle boots too!
And finally the shoes - something classic but with a bit of detailing to bring that much needed wow factor to a simple & classic look. I just love the stud & pearl detailing of these loafers below & am very tempted to investigate further as they're everything I love about accessories - something that little bit different that will bring many a simple outfit to life.
Back to today & we're having a quiet Mother's Day celebration. Hubby has cooked breakfast & our son is in charge of lunch so I'm looking forward to just kicking back & enjoy the day with my loved ones, enjoying the odd film in front of the fire & needless to say the odd glass of bubbles. So it's a simple look today with some loose fit grey trousers, a simple 'V' neck tee & leather biker jacket to tie the look together.
So ladies what are your thoughts on Nicky's look? Is it something you can see yourself wearing & perhaps have similar pieces already hanging in your wardrobe? Or maybe you're not one for wearing head to toe all black & would mix it up with a different coloured top or shirt? And what about those shoes?! Anyone tempted to join me in looking into them?! As always I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Right I'm off the start the Mothering Sunday celebrations. As always I'll be back in the morning but in the meantime I hope you all have a wonderful day & are spoilt rotten by your little or not so little loved ones. For anyone missing their mother today try to remember the good times & your special memories, loved ones never really leave you & are always by your side.
I'm bringing out some timeless wardrobe staples today & styling up pieces that are most definitely going to stand the test of time in my wardrobe, that for me were worth paying that little bit extra for. Although I got really lucky with the J Crew pieces as these were all secured in their sale at a 50% reduction or more including my metallic flats.
So a morning of doing then I'm spending the afternoon celebrating Mothering Sunday (a day early!) with my Mum & Sister. We're off out to enjoy a full blown afternoon tea at my local tearoom & no doubt lots of reminiscing, giggles & catching up on everyday life.
Don't forget the clocks go forward at midnight. I can see there being a few people forgetting what with it being Mother's Day tomorrow.
Enjoy your day & as always I'll see you in the morning.
