Taking A Look At Boden's Partywear & A New Outfit Post

So hands up whose starting to get all excited for Christmas?!!  I absolutely love it & simply cannot wait for the big day.  Of course as important as shopping for Christmas presents & remembering to order the turkey is the hunt for what to wear for all the celebrations & where better to start the hunt than with Boden.

I have to admit that when their latest catalogue popped through my door my inner magpie was beyond itself with all the glitter & sparkle, so much so that I just had to share all the beauties that have caught me eye.

Starting with this stunning embellished clutch.  Perfect for Christmas parties, the big day itself not to mention New Year's Eve but equally as stunning dress down with a simple pair of jeans & white shirt for a night out with the girls or the other half.

And if black's not your thing then it's also available in gold & navy, plus if you happen to have succumbed to their jewelled pumps this matches perfectly ;-)

Now we all know I love a blazer (understatement of the century!!) but this lovely black velvet number would be a great new addition for Christmas.  I'm picturing this teamed with a faux fur stole & either a lace or leather pencil skirt or maybe even wax effect jeans but again you'll be able to get your use out of this long after the festivities are over as it would look just as stunning teamed with some jeans, a white shirt & ballet pumps as it would teamed with some cigarette pants for work.

Or if you want to release your inner magpie it's also available in both a gunmetal sequin & navy sequin version too.

Moving onto dresses now & of course the odd little black dress or two is always going to be a great investment & classic addition to any wardrobe & this lace dress is no exception.  Plus if black's not your colour then it's also available in a gorgeous damson version as well as either a navy or pewter version to tempt you.

To be honest if I was choosing a dress for party season I'd be hard pressed to decide between the lace dress above & this lovely tunic dress.  Both would be great dresses for wearing for other occasions such as weddings & christenings.....which has of course given me an idea *excuse*, as my sister is due to make me an Auntie again over the Christmas period (I'm just hoping that this year there's room at the inn ;-) seeing as she's due the 26th of December) so I'm going to have a christening to attend in the coming months.....can you see where I'm going with this?!! ;-)

The questions is navy or black, black or navy?!

But then this dress is also lovely too & I just love the draped detailing, making it so much more flattering & perfect for distracting from any lumps & bumps.

Now this next dress is a little pricey even with the current discount but something very different & so not what I would expect from Boden.  Image this styled with heels & a leopard print clutch.  I think this would look so cool & due to it's colours & shape a dress that could be worn all year round so worth the initial investment.

Moving onto knitwear now & I love this embellished collared jumper.  Perfect for dressing down with jeans as much as it is for dressing up with a pencil skirt or cigarette pants.

Plus it's also available in light cream.

Or if you fancy some knitwear that's luxurious but has a relaxed fit then how about their relaxed cashmere 'V' neck jumper?!  Not only does this have to be the perfect jumper for dressing up or down the fact that it has a relaxed fit makes it ideal for hiding that extra helping of Christmas dinner ;-) & is also available in navy, red (red pepper) & camel (caramel melange).

Of course there's not many of us that will ever say they have enough shoes in their wardrobe & as with leopard print if you fancy injecting a bit of sparkle to your outfits without being totally bling-tastic then these lovely court shoes would be perfect & are available in either navy or pewter sequins *sighs*.

Or if you love their jewelled pumps but wish they had a heel then Boden have heard your wishes as they now do these stunning jewelled heel court shoes in black & gold.

Moving away from shoes that would make any girl feel like she's having a Cinderella moment & onto skirts.  Again perfect for dressing up or down & unlike a dress so easy to create multiple looks.

First up is this lovely lace pencil skirt, available in three colours - metallic pewter, party green & black.  Perfect for teaming with courts & a sexy tailored shirt, dressed down with a cosy jumper or sweatshirt & equally perfect for teaming with a simple cami for a summer wedding.

As equally stunning is this lovely soft pleated embellished skirt.  Again not only would this look stunning teamed with their cream embellished jumper as featured in navy above, it would equally look fab teamed with a soft denim shirt for daytime too, not to mention a camisole on your summer hols.

But then look at this stunning hot pink explanations needed why this baby caught my eye!! And another great skirt that could easily be worn all year round not to mention dressed down with some lace up pumps & a denim jacket come the warmer months.

Now this next skirt I would so be clicking the button if I had the right occasion to wear it to.  I think it's so elegant & timeless & I love how it's been styled, although I don't think I could resist teaming with a chunky pearl necklace.  Something that little bit different if you're needing smarter evening attire that would scream style & stand out in the right way from all the normal evening and little black dresses.

Or what about this sequin pencil skirt.  Team with a simple black cami & their velvet blazer or a simple wrap blouse or for a more casual but glam feel a grey marl 'V' neck t-shirt & oversized blazer (an outfit that I WILL one day vow to recreate!!).

You could even team it with this embellished round neck top, which would look just as stunning teamed with jeans & black courts for a night out with the girls.

Plus it's also available in Damson.

Another great top that would look fabulous with a leather pencil skirt, leather trousers or even simply teamed with jeans is this embellished floral top, which is available in either navy, copper or spearmint.

As would this pretty lace top (available in black, navy or pewter) & could so easily be teamed with the lace pencil skirt featured earlier, giving you the best of both worlds - separates that look like a dress.

Or if you want a party version of the much loved breton then this sequinned top should fit the bill.  Available in either black & navy or white & gold it's going to prove a great neutral for your wardrobe & would look lovely peaking out from under a blazer.

Finally if you're like me & love your jeans but want something that little bit more dressy then you can't go wrong with wax effect skinny jeans.  Team with your favourite jacket, cami & heels & you're good to go for any occasion/party.  Plus if you want something a little more bling-tastic they're also available in metallic pewter too!
