So what's everyone up to this evening? Do you have plans to welcome 2017 in style or do you prefer a quiet night in after all the Christmas festivities? We've got friends round tonight so it's a day of tidying the house up, cooking & making sure everything is ready, with perhaps a cheeky snooze as it's guaranteed to be a late one!
So today's outfit is quite simple & I'm styling my new camouflage pleated skirt with a simple 'V' neck jumper but I can't wait to dress it up with a cami & blazer or layer it up with a biker & trainers for another look. I'd certainly highly recommend it if you're tempted to 'click that button'.
Right I'd better crack on. I don't know about you but I can't wait to start the celebrations as we always have lots of fun catching up, eating & drinking far too much with a few board games thrown in for good measure :-)
Whatever you're up to tonight have a fabulous time & I'll post tonight's look here.
Morning ladies so this morning I'm tackling the housework & giving the house a good clean in readiness for tomorrow night's celebrations. Then we're off out to my nephew's second birthday party, which equals a good excuse to continue the over eating & drink & of course drag out the glad rags. I'm keeping things pretty simple with my cropped kick flares & some festive red & will either throw my biker jacket or a faux fur stole over the top to complete the look.
I don't know about you but I can't believe it's the last but one day of 2016 - this year has completely sped by hasn't it?!
Enjoy your day & I'll be back as always in the morning.
Morning ladies another quiet one at home for us, which is our idea of bliss. Films, snoozes, board games, fires & lots of yummy nibbles - you just can't beat this time of year can you?!
So a cosy day calls for casual clothes that are perfect for lounging around in & cashmere & denim fit the bill perfectly.
Morning ladies I think a lot of us love a bit of Hush Homewear & equally get excited the moment the words 'discount' or 'pre sale' are uttered. So seeing as Hush have recently launched their pre sale extravaganza with 20% off everything (see here), I thought today I'd share with you my top picks of items I either already own (can highly recommend the grey ankle boots, snake print scarf & biker jeans) or are currently on my wish list.
Back to today & we're enjoying a quiet one at home so it's comfy jeans with a splash of festive red for me.
So ladies has anyone already shopped Hush's pre sale & been 'clicking that button'?! Or perhaps like me you've got your eye on a few pieces & are looking forward to a quiet half an hour to peruse the entire website before making a decision? As always I love to read your comments & thoughts & you can grab 20% off the entire website here.
I hope everyone is having a truly magical Christmas & as always I'll see you in the morning.
Morning ladies I hope everyone's having a truly lovely Christmas & enjoying all the celebrations as well as a little down time with loved ones.
It's a quiet one for us today so I'm layering up my Modern Rarity knitted tunic & throwing on some faux leather trousers for a chilled day at home with hopefully the odd cheeky mid-afternoon snooze & lots of nibbles & films, which just has to be one of my favourite kind of days this time of year.
Happy Boxing Day ladies. So how's everyone feeling after Christmas Day? Full & never wanting to eat another sprout again or ready to go with Boxing Day treats?! Well if you've got a quiet day in on the sofa you may want to take a peek at Hush as they're launching their pre-sale with 20% off everything here!
We've got a quiet day in before heading on over to my cousins for a full on family celebration & gathering of all my family including aunts, uncles, cousins & all our children so it should be great fun & usually involves a quiz & lots of fun & laughter. But before that it's another family tradition of bubble & squeak with left over turkey, which for me is almost as tasty as Christmas lunch.
Whatever you're up to enjoy your day & I'll be back in the morning.
Before I share what I'm wearing today I just wanted to thank each & everyone of you that follows, reads, comments & likes my posts. I still have to pinch myself that my blog has become what it has but it's only down to each & everyone of you & for that I will always be hugely grateful & send you all the above Christmas wishes.
So what to wear for the big day?! Well after lots of trying on I've gone for comfort that feels like I've made an effort, but that most importantly will accommodate a HUGE Christmas dinner & a snooze on the sofa :-)
Needless to say I've been awake since silly o'clock as I just truly love the magic of Christmas even though it's many years since our son believed fully in Christmas but I think you can still keep the magic alive no matter how old they are & it's something we try to do each year with new family traditions.
This year we're off to the village club for a pre-Christmas drink with friends & neighbours whilst the lunch cooks then I can't wait to spend some time in front of the fire with the 2 (3 if you include the dog!) loves of my life - board games, films & the odd snooze is just my absolute idea of heaven.
I hope you all have a truly special day with your families & loved ones & that Santa brought you a special little something & as always I'll be back in the morning. Enjoy your special day.
Happy Christmas Eve ladies! Needless to say I'm MEGA excited about tomorrow, not to mention our plans for later & the build up to the big day but another event that's sure to get me excited is sales time!
Whilst alot of the sales have already started, one sale I always look forward to each season is The Dressing Room's 50% off sale, which actually starts at midnight tonight online here.
Now you may recall that I've previously worked with The Dressing Room on a few occasions & I can honestly say one thing that always strikes me about the boutique is the wide range of brands they stock, which often have that little bit of extra timeless detailing that I love & their service really is second to none. So naturally come sales time they're definitely one of the first brands I make sure I take a peek at. In fact I've actually been lucky enough to get an insider glimpse into their winter sale & have not only got my 'top picks' to share with you but I've also styled 3 pieces that would make great buys.
So let's crack on. Firstly here's a few actual styling ideas from items in The Dressing Room's sale.
Firstly this timeless festive red Ba&shEliet Top, which is of a loose, flare fit design with beautiful button detailing to the back. I've styled it below quite simply with my pleather 'A' line skirt & over the knee boots.
Secondly this chic Tuxedo Jumpsuit from Great Plains, which whilst I've styled with a biker jacket & flats could so easily be teamed with a tuxedo jacket & heels for a more dressier look.
And thirdly these HudsonCompound Suede Boots, that feature a suede snakeskin effect design with a heel height of 4.5cm. Size wise I found these boots came up on the slighly large size so it might be worth comparing a couple of sizes or even downsizing but they're super comfy. I've gone for a casual look of teaming with a chunky knit & biker trousers - something that's just perfect for throwing on for busy day's like today.
Finishing with my top picks from their sale. I've chosen items which would all make great wardrobe additions, that are perfect for dressing up or down depending on the occasion but there's lots more available online here.
Right I'd better get on but if you do manage to grab 5 minutes before all the excitement & festivities of tomorrow kick in, I'd definitely recommend you take at peek at The Dressing Room's website here. Plus if you're super organised you can pop the items you've got your eye on into your virtual shopping basket & then re-visit quickly anytime after midnight tonight to grab those bargains ;-) After all once us ladies get our eyes on the prize there's no stopping us is there?! Plus which one of us doesn't deserve a treat or two after organising, buying, wrapping & cooking everything for the big day ahead?! And with prices reduced by 50% it would be rude not to surely ;-)
Enjoy your Christmas Eve ladies & fingers crossed we all get a visit from Santa in the morning.
As always I'll post tonight's outfit on Instagram here & I'll be back in the morning with a quick post on what I'm wearing for the big day itself. In the meantime I've got my 'he's behind you's' to practice :-)
Morning ladies it's a really busy one today. We're all breaking up tonight whoop, whoop but before that there's a few appointments to fit in, battling the crowds with the last minute treat food shop & then the mega food delivery this evening. Which will no doubt involved trying to cram everything into the fridge & freezer & wondering why on earth we've ordered so much!
So it's a simple outfit & I'm styling my cropped kick flares with a classic polo neck, my studded flats & dash of Bet.
Hope everyone has a good one & for those of you who are also breaking up today.....not long to go :-)
