When Gemini-Woman recently got in touch & asked if I would be interested in taking part in a 'blogger style off' styling a couple of pieces from their new Sandwich Clothing, I was excited & intrigued to see what I'd be sent & my brain went into overdrive thinking of possible outfits.
So the rules of the style off were pretty simple, take one pair of trousers & choose a top from of a selection from their new Sandwich Clothing collection & get styling!
First up here's the trousers. I absolutely adore the neutral colours teamed with the splashes of colour from the turquoise & can see these looking absolutely stunning worn with a tan come the warmer months. Made from 50% cotton & 50% modal these trousers have to be one of the comfiest pairs of trousers I've worn for a long time & will be so cool come summer time. I really love the slouchy fitted design, which makes them perfect for dressing up or down. If I was going on a long haul flight this summer these would be numero uno for my travelling outfit as they're stylish, practical & super comfy too!
Now onto the tops, here's the selection of tops that I had to choose from. First up this jersey cardigan, which would be great for layering on cooler summer days.
Next up this lightweight turquoise top, which is such a stunning colour for summer.
Thirdly this matching vest styled top, which would be great worn as separates or for teaming with the trousers to create a jumpsuit look.
Next this simple long length thin knit white jumper, a great wardrobe staple.
Or the same top in a light camel colour.
Or a cross over jersey jacket.....well we all know how useful I find jackets ;-)
And finally this sleeveless light beige top, great for teaming with a whole heap of colours.
So which top did I go for? Any guesses?
Well I went for the one that I was immediately drawn to & that was the light tan cotton pullover. A great top for dressing up or down - looks great teamed with a scarf for a dressed down feel not to mention dressed up with a statement necklace. For me this is a style top that I'm instantly drawn to, loose around the middle so great for hiding a multitude of sins but still stylish with the three quarter length & batwing sleeves & looks great teamed with skinnies. Plus of course its one of those great colours for going with lots in your wardrobe from denim right through to shades of red.
So without further ado here's how I styled the top & trousers.
Denim Jacket - Zara
Pendant - Bought in Majorca
Jumper - Gemini-Woman Sandwich Clothing £79
Bag - Boden
Bracelets - Gemini-Woman & Ashiana
Trousers - Gemini-Woman Sandwich Clothing £79
Wedge Trainers - Ash
As soon as I saw the trousers I immediately thought of teaming them with my denim jacket & wedge trainers for a great casual look. Of course there's lots of ways the trousers & top could have been styled including teamed with sandals & a cami for a more summer vibe & with a cream blazer & heels for a smarter/evening look too & that's just for starters.
To see how a couple of other bloggers have styled their trousers take a look at two of my fashion blogger buddies posts Donna (I Won't Wear Sludge Brown) & Beth (Style Guile).
Finally here's my outfit from today.

Thanks Abbi, I was tempted to style them with one of my cream jackets but my instinct was my denim jacket so decided to listen to that, but they'd equally look stunning with a cream slouchy blazer.
