Celebrity Style Steal Olivia Palermo & WIWT

Couldn't resist stealing one of Olivia Palermo's looks today.  I love everything about this outfit as it's tailored, classic, stylish & casual basically all the looks I love mixed into one outfit.  Plus I have virtually everything in my wardrobe apart from a classic cream tux....cream boucle jackets yes but no tux....I feel a sales purchase coming on ;-)

So here's the Queen of style herself working the look.

And here's how I'd recreate the look starting with this stunning cream tuxedo jacket from Mint Velvet which is definitely making it onto my sales list as this is a real classic wardrobe staple that will last a lifetime.

I've picked an off white camisole top from Mango to wear underneath the tux, again another wardrobe staple that I practically lived in last summer & am planning on wearing to death this summer too.  Great for teaming under a jacket but also stunning with a long lined necklace & boyfriends for a more casual look too.

For the jeans I've chosen these slim boy fit ones from Next as not only are they a fantastic price they look like they'd be a great fit for anyone who likes the idea of boyfriend jeans but doesn't want quite as looser fit.

Nude coloured beige suede flats from Mango - another wardrobe basic for me, I tend to live in my ballerinas all year round & this colour are simply going to go with everything.

I love Olivia's gold cuff that she wears a lot of the time & I think this one from Banana Republic, although different in design would be equally stunning & wearable.

Now I can't quite see the bag Olivia is wearing but I'm guessing it's Chanel.  Totally gorgeous of course & totally way out of my league but how about this take on a classic Chanel from Zara, still quite pricey but I'm loving the design.

And to complete the look how about these fab priced sunnies from Mango - for this price if you loose, sit on or break you're really not going to be crying split tears.

Finally I thought I'd create the look as best I could for my outfit for today.

  3. I had to look up Olivia Palermo as I'd never heard of her before! A great look but I can't help thinking its a bit "old" for a girl in her twenties (I was doing O levels when she was born- crikey!). But maybe that's what ageless fashion is about?

    1. Hi Nicola I just think it's a timeless look that can be worn across the ages with little tweaks here & there to suit the personality & age of the person wearing it. Personally I've always loved this kind of look & it shows that sometimes less is more with an outfit too :-)
