A Summer Must Have & My OOTD

So I don't know about you but we're on the holiday countdown...the countdown to the school holidays & also our longed for & often talked about summer holiday.  Now I've yet to start thinking about what I'm taking but one thing that's definitely being packed is my new Accessorize clutch, which I'm totally blaming on Laura from Wearing It Today, because as soon as I saw this beauty on Instagram I just knew I had to click the button.

As I've mentioned in previous posts this year my inner hippy has totally been released & this bag not only fits in with that theme but is going to be perfect for using of an evening on holiday - big enough to carry the essentials - lippy, phone, hubby's wallet & hotel key plus having snipped the strap off it looks amazing as a clutch.

Unfortunately this little beauty is now out of stock but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of others to tempt you & me & Accessorize certainly seem to have the best collection out there.  Starting with this lovely pretty & subdued beaded number.

If however, you like the style of the one above but it's a bit subdued in colour then this next one is a great alternative.

Now we all love the odd stripe or two so you should love this next one.  I'm thinking it would look fab teamed with one of my navy blazers & red capri trousers & that's just for starters!

Something with more of a casual vibe with this calypso clutch, which really reminds me of all the friendship bracelets I used to make many moons ago.

Stepping away from Accessorize now & moving onto New Look  & this gorgeous tribal one that also has a chain strap so useful for those hand free moments!

Or how about this this one, same sort of theme but a little bolder in design.

I really love the colours in this next clutch from ASOS, which would look absolutely stunning with an all black outfit & of course being all the colours of the rainbow would go with everything in your suitcase too.

Despite being tempted by all the above, I think I'm leaning to this next lovely pink number, which would look stunning with a simple lace white top & distressed jeans, although I think I'd probably end up snipping off the pom poms!

Now you're either going to seriously love or hate this next number.......I'm undecided but think it could make a real statement with a simple jumpsuit or off the shoulder dress of an evening.

If monochrome is more your thing then River Island have this great one, which also incorporates a splash of neon & metallic.

Moving away from clutches & onto day bags, which are perfect for sightseeing or days out with the family & I just love all the colours in this next beauty.

Or if corals are more you then what about this one?

Finally I absolutely love this shopper style bag, perfect if you're able to travel light to the beach (something I never seem to be able to do!) but equally lovely for days out & of course totally useful for shopping too.....something of course I never do ;-)

Finishing with my outfit for today.

Top - Gemini Woman
Necklace - Zara
Bag - Zara
Trousers - Zara
Sandals - Zara

Breton Stripes

Bag - Zara £12.99
Trousers - Boden £59
Sandals - Mango £29.99

So what do you think of the bags?  Tempted or would you rather stick with something a bit more traditional?  I'm seriously thinking of investing in an extra one or two as I love them that much but I'd love to hear what you think.

Happy 'hump' day & enjoy the sunshine :-)

  1. Oh I am seriously loving the little boho bags at the moment and I'm practically sitting on my hands at the moment trying not to hit the button on the one that I've got my eye on. I did see a really good little boho number in Primark the other day with a chain strap for around £8 - cursing myself for not having picked it up. That's it - I'm off out - I need a little boho bag in my life!
