Taking A Look At The British Flat Shoe Company & WIWT

It's no secret that I'm a sucker for a ballet pump or two & usually this passion is indulged during our yearly summer holidays to Majorca where I stock up on ballet pumps not only for myself but also my mum & sister too.  But that's all about to change as I've now found an amazing company called the The British Flat Shoe Company who make simple, elegant & stylish shoes that are not only comfortable (a word I think you'll all agree proves to be more & more important as you get older!) but are made from luxurious inner & upper leathers & are all handmade in Northampton!  So not only can you look super stylish for a sensible price, you can also support manufacturing in the UK - a win, win situation if ever there was one!!

So without further ado let me show you my picks from their latest collection.

I just love this two tone navy combo (which is also available in black & cream).  As with all their shoes they're a real classic for any wardrobe that just screams elegance.  Made from soft lamb nappa leather with a built in soft padded insert in the heel & inner sock for comfort (yup they had me at padded - just music to my ears).  Plus they come with a Union Jack stitched into the inner seam!

Of course we all know how useful metallic shoes are & these gorgeous silver foil ones are no exception.  I mean really who doesn't want a shoe that can go with everything - something even hubby can't argue about on a cost per wear basis ;-)

Another great neutral are these lovely fawn suede ballet pumps.  I just love this colour when teamed with navy, not to mention black or grey.

Plus they're available in a variety of colours including.

Now we all know I love my bit of 'Bet' & these black leather pumps are a very chic version of leopard print.  Made from embossed leather & suede with a slight sparkle to catch the light, who isn't going to love these babies?!!

So any guesses which ones I chose?!!!

Yup no surprises that I went for my favourite colour at the moment - raspberry, although it was a close call between these & the 'Wild Kat' black foil ones.

From a sizing point of view I'm generally a 40 (6½) & found that the size 7 came up pretty large so settled for a size 6, which are plenty big enough for my wide feet.  Plus as you'd expect from shoes that have inner & upper leather they're super comfy on the feet from the moment I slipped them on.

Of course I just couldn't resist wearing them today as they're just perfect to team with my Zara jacket.

Have a fab day & see you tomorrow.

  4. After reading this I thought it was very informative. Thank you for taking the time and effort to put this article together. I find myself once again spending way to much time to both read and comment. But so what it was still worth it!
