So come on hands up, how many of us secretly hope for a jewellery sized box neatly wrapped under the Christmas tree come the 25th?!!! Yup I'll admit I certainly wouldn't mind a box or two of this shape & size containing a new bit of jewellery, after all it's a great way to breathe new life into our wardrobes & if we're honest how many of us would love to say to our other halves 'if I can't wear it I don't want it'?! ;-)
Whilst of course a diamond or two wouldn't go amiss, stunning jewellery doesn't have to be expensive & one of the best ways of creating a stunning look is by wearing a key piece of jewellery. I'm a great believer in the fact that by wearing something that little bit different to the norm you can really create a stunning statement.
One brand of jewellery that I've featured previously on the blog is Ottoman Hands but if you haven't heard of them, they were established in 2009 & are a British based, Turkish inspired jewellery company created by Deniz Gurdal. Denis works closely with local Turkish gem cutters & artisans to create one of a kind jewellery in modern designs that are loyal to the beauty of ancient Ottoman jewellery making traditions. Each piece is finished in 21ct gold plated brass & feature stunning semi-previous stones & they really do create some stunning pieces at very sensible prices.
Needless to say there's lots of gorgeous pieces that are catching my inner magpie's eye so today I thought that just in case your other half needs a bit of present buying inspiration, or you feel you deserve a little pre-Christmas treat for all that present buying, wrapping & card writing, I'd feature some of my favourites pieces.
So starting with their bracelets, first off I just love this golden cord bracelet - perfect for wearing either on their own or layered with other arm candy. I just love it's elegant simplicity & whilst I've only featured the blue version it's available in a variety of colours.

This next bracelet would be perfect for layering with the one above & it has the bling factor as well....just perfect! I love the black cord as it would go with everything but again this is available in a variety of colours & different designs.
Moving onto earrings next & how stunning are these blue agate hammered disc earrings? I just love these - classic, stylish & something a little bit different that are sure to grab everyone's attention in a good way. Team these with a simple shift dress or even a classic white shirt & jeans & these would be the only jewellery you would need to create a real statement.
Or how about these lovely onyx hammered disc earrings. They really are timeless & like all their jewellery, look so much more expensive than they are.
Similarly these red agate one stone earrings are beautiful & like a pair of simple pearl stud earrings these really are timeless. Plus they're available in a variety of stones including white cat eye, dusty pink cat eye, orange agate, green agate, blue agate, lapis, labradorite, onyx & smokey quartz.
Turning to necklaces & I love the idea behind these zodiac ones that not only feature a birth sign pendant but also a gem stone pendant too. I love the idea of wearing one with my son's birth sign & with the length of the necklace being so long it would be perfect for layering with some my other delicate chains.
Of course with my love of all things hot pink then it's not going to come as a surprise that I've developed a soft spot for this fuchsia pink agate pendant. This would bring glamour to the simplest of outfits - boyfriend jeans & an oversized 'V' neck jumper will instantly look styled once teamed this necklace.
They also have a great selection of oversized rings too, I mean who doesn't love a cocktail or two & a statement ring is always a great way of dressing an outfit.
From stunning single stoned rings such as this lovely square ring in Lapis, (also available in Tiger Eye, Red Agate & Green Agate).
To this lovely jade ring.
Or this stunning hammered peace charm ring, all are going to add a certain je nais se quoi to any look.
But for the ultimate in rings then you can't beat these lovely three stoned rings, my favourite of which is the one below featuring sapphire, jade & labradorite stones.
Also available in dusty pink cats eye, labradorite & white chalcedony.
Now I've been really lucky as Ottoman Hands have very kindly sent me a couple of pieces to style. The aquam three stone ring in sapphire, jade & labradorite & this sapphire open cuff.
So today I thought I'd show you just how a couple of key pieces of jewellery can transform you outfit.
Here I am wearing a simple little black dress, something we've all got hanging in our wardrobes & will no doubt see a lot of us wearing over the coming few weeks.
In the next picture I've teamed the dress with my new jewellery & as you can see they totally transform a simple black dress & make the outfit so much more eye catching.
Finally here's what I'm wearing today & I just couldn't resist wearing my new jewellery.

Or perhaps something I've featured has just caught your eye & you're hoping Santa might leave a piece or two under the tree.
As always I'd love to hear your thoughts, let alone hear if you have a statement piece of jewellery you bring out to transform your little black dress.
See you tomorrow.
