Releasing My Inner Hippie & WIWT

You don't have to look far to see that the 70s vibe is going to be huge this Spring & Summer so when Repertoire Fashion recently got in touch asking if I'd like to work with them I decided to see if there was anything suitable that would bring a touch of inner hippie to my wardrobe for the coming months.

Now if like me you've not previously heard of Repertoire Fashion not only do they have five stores in Beaconsfield, Marlow, Salisbury, Uxbridge and Watford but they also have an online presence too, which seeing as I live in Worcestershire is very handy indeed!

Selling both women's and men's fashion they stock designer clothing from over 50 key brands including Ash Footwear, Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Barbour & For All Mankind to name just a few.  And don't let the fact that they sell designer clothing put you off as it doesn't necessarily mean designer prices.  To show you what I mean here's just some of the beauties they've currently got on offer but be warned at these prices sizes are already selling out fast!

For example these black suede Ash slip ons have now been reduced 50% to £57.50, which seeing as I've finally been converted to the benefits of a slip-on is highly tempting!

Talking of which these leopard print beauties are now £77.50.  If like me you've been sitting on the fence with slips-on you really should give them a whirl.  I totally love mine for a more dressed down vibe & they're great with faux leather trousers/leggings not to mention boyfriend jeans & I'm sure I'm going to be wearing mine even more come Spring.

Thinking about warmer months now & how stunning are these Ash stud sandals.  Perfect for creating a statement & being tan a great wardrobe neutral.  Yes they're still fairly expensive but I could seriously live in just this pair of sandals all summer as they'd go perfectly with jeans as much as they would a little boho dress.  Don't tell the hubby but a pair like this would be all I needed to take on holiday with me but hey when has any girl ever been a one shoe kind of girl?!!

Now we all know I love a jacket or two & this one below is stunning.  Again more expensive than a Zara number but hey you're not going to see lots of people wearing the same blazer & this is just that little bit different isn't it.  Team with a simple white tee, distressed rolled up boyfriend jeans & some white trainers & you've got one hell of a fantastic weekend look.

Talking of classics a trench coat is another wardrobe staple, although this season the duster coat is also huge.  This one from Maison Scotch is a great mix between the two & fab for throwing on.  I can really see this working with a classic white shirt, loose fit jeans, trainers & a classic cross body bag - just stunning.

Or if you fancy trying out a nod to the 70s theme then what about this boho styled top, naturally the fact it's leopard print has nothing to do with the fact as to why it caught my eye ;-)  But seriously this worn as a loose fit teamed with rolled up jeans (or flares if you're brave enough!), trainers & layered necklaces will be a great nod to the trend without going all out Charlie's Angels!

So back to the brief that I set myself of finding something a little bit boho, a little bit 70s & here's what I picked.

Firstly this stunning folk embroidered crepe dress from Day Birger et Mikkelsen, which again was heavily reduced from £205.

Teamed with this fantastic layered black & gold tusk necklace again by Day Birger et Mikkelsen reduced from £65 to a mere £26!  A great wardrobe multi-tasker that will be perfect for layering with other necklaces not to mention teamed with a boho top or two.

The beauty of both these pieces are they're perfect for teaming together but equally can obviously also be worn separately.  Naturally I had to have a quick try on session whey they arrived.  Now obviously the dress is going to look far better when teamed with sun kissed skin so excuse the blindingly white legs but hopefully you get the general idea.

I just love the stunning embroidered detailing.

I've already got many ideas planned for the dress including teaming it with wedges & a denim jacket, simple thong sandals & a panama whilst on holiday not to mention it would be perfect for throwing on after a long hard day on the beach & heading off for cocktails!

Equally it's also a fab dress for wearing for cooler days too & goes perfectly with my biker jacket & Mango boots & due to it's loose fit I can easily wear the odd thermal & long sleeved t-shirt to keep me warm underneath, so naturally I couldn't resist wearing it today!
