One of the things I'm really loving about writing my blog is that I'm getting to discover & learn more about brands that might have ordinarily just passed me by. So when I was recently approached by Ghost London to see if I'd be interested in working with them I didn't hesitate at the chance. Yes I'd heard of them but in recent years they had totally bypassed my radar.
Naturally after their email had pinged into my inbox my curiosity got the better of me & it wasn't long before I was hitting their website & oohing & ahhing over their ready to wear collection, so today I thought I'd share with you my picks.
Now we all know I love a bit of leopard print so of course I'm going to love their Enid top in animal. I love the fact that it's not the normal colour way you'd expect for leopard print not to mention that this type of loose fit boxy top is such a great wardrobe staple. This would be perfect for dressing up with skinny jeans & heels for a night out as much as it would for dressing down with some boyfriend jeans & trainers & the neckline makes it perfect for wearing under a blazer or two.
On the same lines as the Enid top this Harriot top also makes a great multi purpose item to have in your wardrobe. I mean who can ever have enough blue in their life & with the 'V' neckline this is perfect to either showcase a stunning statement necklace or layer with a few delicate gold chains.
And either of the above tops would go beautifully with these Davina trousers, which like jeans could be teamed with heels for a dressier look or teamed with ballet pumps or trainers for the day. Plus of course if you teamed them with the Enid top not only would you have a great one piece that if belted could give the impression of a jumpsuit but you'd also have two individual items that could be worn with so many separates in your wardrobe that it really would be a great multi-tasking outfit.
Moving onto their dresses now & I just love the simplicity of this Lexi dress - as with all their pieces it can so easy be dressed up or down, not to mention perfect for teaming with gold accessories.
Now we all know a maxi dress really comes into it's own in the summer & especially at holiday time. This Mel dress is just a pure classic that would never date & having taken mainly black on our summer holidays last year this would be perfect for creating various looks by accessorising with different accessories.
And of course I couldn't not feature this lovely animal print dress now could I, but as it's now in the sale sizes are rather limited.
One of the things I didn't realise about Ghost is that they also offer a dye to order service on eleven of their most beautiful & timeless dresses, which would simply be perfect not only for a special occasion but also ideal for bridesmaid dresses as they could be worn for other occasions later on in life & not just the wedding day.
In fact this first dress would also make a rather stunning wedding dress too at a rather more purse friendly price than most wedding dresses. It also reminds me of Pippa Middleton's bridesmaid dress & we all know how stunning that looked at Kate Middleton's wedding to Prince William.
In fact having looked at all eleven designs I'm totally holding Ghost responsible for my huge desire to now be a bridesmaid. Just look at this next dress, such a lovely delicate shade of pink for a bridesmaids dress & how gorgeous would this look teamed with a simple posy of pale pink roses.
And if I had a black tie event to go to I wouldn't hesitate in ordering this stunning number. A total wardrobe classic that would look stunning teamed with some timeless jewellery & a statement clutch.
The other thing I've learnt is that Ghost sell some stunning bags. Lovely classic, stylish bags, which if you're looking for a special bag are affordable. In fact they've currently got a sale on all their bags making them extremely reasonable. Just take a look at my favourites below.
Love, love, love this shopper style with chain handles.
Not to mention this quilted navy shopper.
How expensive does this cross body tan bag look? Just stunning & it would take a simple outfit of jeans & a white shirt up several notches.
And of course you can never go wrong with a tan shopper can you, perfect for lugging everyone's bits & pieces in.
And finally the Shania mini tote, which I've been lucky enough to have been sent by Ghost. A real classic & stylish handbag that will last me many years to come & don't be fooled by the title as at 34cm W x 23cm H x 14cm D it isn't exactly mini. In fact it's the perfect handbag size - big enough to carry all the essentials including an emergency makeup kit but not to big that you end up carrying things around that you really don't need.
Plus it comes with a cloth protective bag to keep it lovely & safe when not been used.
Plus a handy inner zip pocket, which I always find useful for keeping spare plasters & paracetamol in.
Not to mention little feet to protect the bottom of the bag too.
Finishing with my outfit for today & of course I simply had to use my new handbag!!!

So is Ghost a brand you've bought from recently or like me is it a brand that you know exists but never think to look at? I'd love to know if you've seen anything to tempt you. Not to mention if like me you're now thinking of a way you can wear one of their stunning dye to order dresses.......I'm guessing it might be a tad too much for the supermarket run?!!!! ;-)
Busy day at work for me today plus our son has his first GCSE exam - 5 hours of Graphics. Typically of course yesterday he's come down with a bad head cold & sore throat so the vitamin C & echinacea are out in force, why do you always catch bugs & colds just at the worst time possible?!! Fingers crossed it disappears as quickly as it came.
Have a fab Wednesday.
Years ago I had a summer dress from Ghost, I loved it, a pretty pink cheesecloth floaty number. The bag is very classy Jane! The custom dye dresses would be perfect for bridesmaids, may have to get married again!? He he. X
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one fancying a wedding again after seeing the dresses Annmarie.
DeleteThe bag is a real stunner & something that will last a lifetime.

I will definitely be taking a closer look at Ghost Jane! Love the first couple of tops and the bags.....so hard to choose which is my favourite?! I am a sucker for a chain handle and the first bag looks like an amazing homage to the Fallabella that I always have a stroke of in Selfridges every time I meet you! Some gorgeous picks.....completely envious of the bag you have chosen.....just stunning! xx
ReplyDeleteYes you can't beat a chain strap can you Michelle, like you they always catch my eye & for a gorgeous designed leather bag they're a great price to, especially when you compare to a lot of similar designs on the market.....am I tempting you further!! ;-)

I used to wear a lot of Ghost many moons ago but these pieces have piqued my interest again! I love your outfit & the bag is the perfect size for me :)
ReplyDeleteHope your sons picks up for the rest of his exams, we've got the same situation in our house :( x
Thanks Sarah, the bag is a great size isn't it. My trouble is if I used a large bag I tend to fill it with things I don't need but carry just on the off chance & then wonder why I can't find anything lol.

I absolutely love this all black look on you, its stunning! Love the jacket, Zara of course ....but those shoes are my favorite and your bag is great too. Fab look!

Thanks Nora, thought I'd wear just the one colour so the bag could do all the talking & thought it nice to add different textures into the mix.
