Okay ladies so the moment we've been patiently waiting for hasn't yet arrived - yup Mango have yet to have a weekend bonanza :-( It's been so long that I'm wondering if it was a cunning ploy last season to get us falling head over heels in love with them!
If you're anything like me you'll have been patiently waiting for an email to ping into your inbox so you could go wild in the aisles. Unbeknown to me they'd taken longer than normal to refund an order I placed just before Christmas so they recently kindly sent me an email apologising & offering 30% off my next order! So not being one to look a gift horse in the mouth & seeing as Spring is now firmly here I thought it rude not to take a peek!

So today I thought I'd share with you my wish list from Mango's latest collection & include everything I think would make great wardrobe additions. So grab yourself a mug of coffee/tea & maybe a sugary treat to keep your energy levels up as we're going in!!!
First off we're starting with dresses & what better wardrobe staple than this crepe striped dress - a great wardrobe classic that looks a great length & fit. Perfect for teaming with a blazer or dressing down with a denim jacket let alone teaming with a spot of leopard print or a red cross body bag.
I also love this red embroidered dress, which would be perfect for hot summer days both here & when on holiday. It's a similar style to a lovely cream one I bought last year & found incredibly useful so I've very tempted by this baby!!
Another wardrobe staple is a denim dress & this one looks highly versatile with the roll up sleeves meaning it could be worn all year round. Team with some nude/tan ankle boots & a fringe bag & you'd be good to go.
I don't know about you but I find maxi dresses really come into their own in the summer & I just love the colour & style of this floral one. Simply layer with some bangles & a few delicate chains & team with a cross body bag for sunny hot days or wear under a denim jacket on days where temperatures are a little cooler. I've so got to give this a go for our summer holidays!
Now I was tempted by a denim maxi dress last year but didn't take the plunge but the one below has seriously caught my eye. Perfect for embracing the 70s trend when worn with wedges & how cool does it look with the biker?!
Another great staple next which also embraces one of this season's main colours - khaki, is this military styled jacket. A great casual number for teaming with boyfriend jeans, a simple tee & trainers - perfect for the school run or weekend entire me thinks.
Now Mango had a real moment with their quilted jackets last year & if I didn't already own several then I'd be clicking the button in an instant with this beauty. I just love the colours not to mention the fact that it's reversible.
And this next baby has got me seriously drooling......I just love it!
Or if your prefer something a little longer what about this coatigan - navy with metallic thread what's not to love & oh so very useful too!
Love the classic style of this next frayed jacket - luckily for hubby & our bank balance I already own a similar style from Massimo Dutti that I managed to snag in the sale a few years ago but seriously if you don't own anything like this then give it a go. A great jacket for an evening out teamed with skinny jeans/wax effect trousers & heels but also perfect for dressing down in the day & bringing a pair of distressed boyfriends to life.
Onto tops next & starting with this stunning wide sleeved blouse. Simple, elegant & stylish - perfect for dressing up or down, with jewellery or without.
I'm also loving this ethnic embroidered blouse - since unleashing my inner hippie last summer these tops really are incredibly useful. Perfect for teaming with any style of jeans, denim skirts/shorts or even flares & with the 70s being big news at the moment there's going to be plenty of opportunity to go boho.
Or if you're after something a little plainer then I just love the detailing on this shirt.
If you're on the hunt for another striped top, then what about this one. A great classic that's just that little bit different - in fact to be honest the whole outfit looks pretty darn fab to me & could so easily be finished off with a loose fit blazer.
Moving onto the bottom half now & these wide leg trousers look stunning don't they & a great item of clothing for summer.
Or if you're in need of a new pair of boyfriend jeans then I love the look of the pair below - a great fit & colour with not too much distressing.
Or for those of you on the hunt for a flared pair then these ones look pretty good.
And of course we're never going to leave our skinnies behind are we & this next pair are in the most stunning shade of grey.
This black pleated skirt also looks lovely doesn't it, in fact I love the whole look & would just add a couple of delicate gold chains to finish it off.
And if you've been toying with the idea of a jumpsuit then I love the look of this strapless one below. I've got a very similar one from Zara & love mine, perfect for taking on holiday for an evening not to mention worn for parties back at home.
Having been delighted with both my trainers & ankle boots that I bought from Mango last season I'd highly recommend their footwear. And top of my wish list are these ankle boots, which are also available in black. Perfect for teaming with trousers not to mention dresses in the summer when the weather allows.
I'm also loving these babies too - a real statement boot that would be great as an alternative to leopard print but be warned there's limited sizes left!
Or what about these lovely buckled boots?!
Now I've featured this next pair of trainers many times on my 'shop my style' features & if I didn't already own a white pair I'd be snapping these up in an instant - in fact I just wish they'd had these when I ordered mine as I really like the blue detailing, which breaks the whiteness up don't you?!
Having fallen in love with trainers you'll know that this next pair may have already been purchased. Super comfy & having already been worn lots of times I can totally vouch for them, so much so I'm tempted to order the red version too :-0
Moving onto accessories now & having found my ASOS pom pom bag from last summer so incredibly useful for holiday & nights out I'm on the look out for a playmate this year & Mango have some great contenders. This first one has something I wish my ASOS one had & that's a strap as it makes it that bit more versatile & useful for daytime use too. This would really transform a simple denim dress.
But then I'm loving the tassel & pom poms on this clutch & being monochrome would mean it could easily be used all year round.
Or how about this one?
Now we all know I love a bit of leopard print & if anyone's on the look out for a leopard print clutch then this looks fab & not a bad price.
More of a day bag next with this suede buckle bag - perfect for the 70s vibe & reminds me of my Clarks cross body bag I had last year which is so useful - more so than I ever thought it would be.
Moving onto jewellery now & I love these double pearl earrings, I just can't believe the price!
One of my favourite pieces of jewellery to wear especially in the summer are my leather cuffs as they go with most things & I find they add a bit of rock chick-ability to an outfit, I just love this double wrap one.
Now if you haven't got a horn pendant necklace then I would definitely consider the one below as they really are incredibly useful for both layering on their own or with other necklaces, you'll wonder how on earth you even managed without one!!
Back to pom poms with this next necklace - a great ethnic vibe that would look fantastic teamed with flares or a boho dress.
You could even get these bracelets to continue the theme or layer with others.
Finally Mango also have some great scarves - after all, we can never have too many can we. I just love the colours not to mention pom poms on this first one.
Beautiful colours in this next one that just instantly bring summer holidays to mind - I can just picture blue skies & sea.
And finishing with this very pretty embroidered scarf that would be perfect for wrapping round you on cooler days.
Finishing with my outfit for today - a day of errands, a trip for our son to the hairdressers & finishing with taxiing him to & from a party meaning hubby & I get a date night :-)

Phew so there you have my Mango wish list - as you can see they've got some stunning pieces in their SS15 collection, so much so that hubby is quite relieved the discount vouchers aren't pinging at the rate they were last season!!
So ladies do you see anything to tempt you?! Me I've seen far too much & of course I 'had' to place an order as I'd hate for that 30% off discount to be wasted ;-) Naturally I reassured the hubby it wouldn't *coughs* all be staying & I had added bits just out of curiosity to try but we all know that could be/was an entirely different story don't we!! Any guesses on what was ordered & kept?!!
Right I'm off to start my 'to do' list, have a fab day, enjoy the sunshine & if you do make a purchase let me know as I'd love to hear what you've picked.
See you tomorrow.
I have had the little black frayed edge jacket in my possession for the past week after seeing a couple of similar jackets on you Jane! I also bought the ethnic tassel clutch a while back to stash away for my holidays to perk up my mainly monochrome holiday outfits! Some fab picks Jane, with 30% off I could easily go wild in Mango at the mo, so happy spending to you! :0) xx
ReplyDeleteOoh fab choices Michelle, I can't wait to use my new clutch on our summer hols, although I've got a girls night out coming in a couple of weeks so I may have to take it on it's first outing then!

Oh fabulous picks Jane, I am jacket heaven. X
ReplyDeleteTheir jackets are stunning aren't they Annmarie & are seriously giving me twitching fingers!!
DeleteJane xx
Most definitely that little red dress, the denim maxi and all the clutches, please and thank you. Alright, maybe not the beaded clutch since I just purchased a version from Zara yesterday but yes, everything else would be lovely.
ReplyDeleteLol Sheela you've picked some of the items I've ordered.....great minds :-) I just love the red dress & think it will be so perfect for our summer holidays.
DeleteJane xx
I'm waiting for that 30% off moment too Jane.....You have picked so many gorgeous items I am spoilt for choice! I do love the way they do a dead ringer for Isabel Marant's top's, and that denim maxi is just a dream. So come on Mango, give us all a treat very soon! Helen xx
ReplyDeleteThere are far too many temptations Helen I could have included many more too! Have you received the email today about their up to 30% sale?! It would be rude not to take a look surely?! ;-)
DeleteJane xx
Oh my, too much!! I adore the tencel maxi dress & the first stripe shift dress, all the bags, the fringed jacket.......I could go on!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI never think of looking at Mango as I don't have one anywhere near me I have no idea what the sizing is like - I guess I should just order something & see! X
Sarah sizing is about the same as Zara & the good news is that it's now free returns which makes shopping when you don't have a local store so much easier. You should definitely take a peek!

The temptation is almost unbearable! Great picks, and I loooove the jackets! Now I want that little navy fringed hem number instead of a regular navy blazer! And the striped dress, and the outfit with the striped top and.....should I go on? :) I got an e-mail yesterday informing me of the 30% discount online as well as in stores, so I guess there is going to be a little bit of shopping!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear how you got on Karianne they have far too many temptations right now don't they & a 30% discount makes them even more tempting too ;-0
DeleteJane xx
Fab picks, Jane. I'm looking forward to seeing what you bought. I've fallen a bit out of love with Mango recently and I don't know why. Just not been tempted by any of their offerings. Hope you fb joyed your date night. Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynne we had a great night & I suppose the lack of 30% discount codes isn't helping you fall back in love either ;-)
DeleteJane xx
Anyone got a 30% discount code to share? Got my eye onthe reversible jacket! Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi I don't think there's one available at the moment but if I see one I promise to share it.
DeleteJane xx
Thank you!
DeleteLucky you! I've got fed up of waiting for a code and ordered a couple of bits that I just couldn't resist. The beaded boho jacket is on my wishlist, but I just can't justify it right now, or I'd be snapping that one up too! xx
ReplyDeleteThat jacket is a stunner isn't it Becky.....fingers crossed for a 30% discount soon!

Great round-up I think my mummy will be heading down to Mango! #MBPW
