New Outfit Post - More Khaki & Navy

Whoop whoop last day at work before the Easter Bank Holiday weekend plus of course it's my favourite day of the week :-)

Busy day with work for me as I'm taking the whole of next week off so lots to do (one client has already asked if I'm planning on working late this evening!).  On top of that it's time to make a sneaky trip to the hairdressers to get the fringe chopped some more layers put in & most importantly the greys banished so keeping things nice & simple with more navy & khaki & my Boden sparkly flats (don't forget the Boden up to 40% midseason sale is now on!)

My Midlife Fashion, Stella and Dot, Gap, Mango, Zara, boden

Jumper - Gap
Necklace - Antique fair find
Trousers - Zara
Shoes - Boden

Navy & Khaki, My Midlife Fashion, Shop My Style, Hush Homeward, Boden, Accessorise

Right I'd better get on.  Have a great day & let the countdown to the long weekend begin :-)  Seeing as it's a Bank Holiday tomorrow I'm thinking it would be rude not to bring wine o'clock forward by a day.....anyone joining me?!!

See you tomorrow & don't forget there's still time to enter to win half a day's styling with me plus a £100 Wallis voucher see here for more details!

  1. I love those Zara chinos, they seem to be just the style I'm after for spring! I'd like to ask you about the fabric, how is it? Sturdy or thin, and is there any stretch in it? Thanks in advance, and Happy Easter :)

    1. Hi Karianne the trousers are what I'd call a medium weight cotton & have a very slight give to them in that makes sense.
      Happy Easter too :-)

  2. I love the zara trousers too! They are casual but seem smart at the same time. Did they come in any colours, do you know? Also, my hair is similar to yours but longer and I have just had more layers put in and I absolutely love them. It's completely changed the shape and is so much easier to style. Good luck with it!

    1. Hi Angie I think these are the only colour this particular style is available in but they do other cropped chinos which may be worth a look.
It's amazing how much better my hair feels once the greys are covered & trimmed. My hair has a habit of growing outwards as opposed to downwards & I have so much hair that layers are a necessity. This time I've gone for a few longer ones, which I think will really help with how the hair falls so alls good :-)
      Have a fab Easter.

  4. I am very tempted by the Zara trews too Jane! I tried them and umm-ed and ahh-ed because I'd just got my Topshop khaki harem pants but these are such a great shape and lovely fabric I think I will be going back for them! They look gorgeous teamed with navy! xx

    1. Thanks Michelle - funnily enough I'm now after a pair of harem/jogger style trousers in khaki after modelling the ones for Wallis as I think they'd be really useful. I think with khaki being such a great neutral not to mention the colour of the moment surely we could 'justify' both ;-)
