Having posted last month's post on my monthly purchases earlier, I'm going to aim to do this each month (or at least for February & March ;-) ) & that way like ripping a plaster off quickly I'm getting the pain over & done with, although we're already half way through April - whoops!
So jumping straight in here's what's found a new home in my wardrobe!
Naturally it's been a bit of a Zara-tastic month ;-0 So seeing as khaki is going to be big this season, I thought these loose fit chinos will be perfect for giving a nod to the trend & fab for teaming with trainers & a blazer.
As soon as I saw this dress on some of their promos I was stalking the site daily until it came into stock. Yes it's probably going to crease & will definitely need an underskirt on bright summer days but it really is stunning. This is definitely coming away on our summer holidays thats for sure!
Bet's raised her head with this next purchase with this stunning clutch/cross body bag. Now before you say it yes I've got several leopard print bags but having found my Boden cross body one so very, very useful I just knew this slimmer version for days when I don't need to carry everything including the kitchen sink around with me is going to prove a great wardrobe must have & for the price well what can I say?!!!
And after selling several jackets on eBay my wardrobe was looking empty ;-) so I couldn't resist this baby.
Having found my black faux leather 'A' line skirt so useful from last Autumn as soon as I saw this khaki version I just knew it was coming home with me!
Now I'd been admiring this last dress from afar but seeing how short it looked on the model I decided it was a definite no no & didn't even think it worth ordering for a quick try on but surprisingly I happened to find myself in Zara the day of my Wallis shoot & decided to hold it up against me & it really isn't that short & I'm 5'7" so you can probably guess the rest can't you!! It's going to be such an easy dress for an evening on holiday as I can simply team it with my Mango studded gladiator flats from last year some bracelets & a clutch & I'll be good to go!
Finally a couple of purchases from Mango well what's a girl to do when they kindly send you an email offering you 30% off your next order?!!
Seeing as I'm loving the whole trainer trend I decided to get some navy suede ones for a slightly smarter look to my white ones.
And this gorgeous monochrome clutch with tassels & pom poms!!! These are so useful in the summer for taking on holiday not to mention a night out back at home too.
Plus I just couldn't resist this little red number for our summer holidays & casual summer days - perfect for throwing on & teaming with a pair of sandals, denim jacket on cooler days & a panama.
Of course I wanted to make full use of my 30% discount so I ordered a few pieces to try on the off chance & these are the couple that didn't get returned.
Firstly this lovely scarf - a great weight & I just love the edging - something that little bit different.
And finally this ruffled sleeve blouse - perfect for dressing up or down & wearing on its own or under a blazer.
Finishing with my outfit for today & seeing as I'm head over in heels in love with khaki I just had to wear my Zara overshirt with some denim.

Would love to know your ebay user name so I can bid on your cast offs. Love your style. I too bought that zara dress, and I am loving the khaki skirt, might have to invest as I to have the black one x
ReplyDeleteHi the khaki skirt is fab although I wish it didn't have the elastic waistband but just know it's going to prove as useful as the black one.
