You may recall that I've previously reviewed a couple of Damart's pieces from previous collections (see here & here). So when they recently got in touch to see if I'd be interesting in review a couple of pieces from their latest collection I didn't hesitate in saying yes as I know from the items I've previously received that the quality & finish is fantastic.
As with all things styling is everything & whilst some of Damart's pieces may be styled in a way some of us might not wear I thought I'd share with you some pictures from their SS15 lookbook so you can see just how stunning their pieces can look when styled in a way that certainly appeals to me & my individual style.
First up how stunning does this simple collarless three quarter length coat look teamed with a neutral palette. Simply gorgeous & it just oozes elegance. Perfect for a special or smart occasion but equally this coat would look beautiful dressed down with some distressed boyfriend jeans, a simple tee & trainers.
Jacket - Collarless Coat £59
Top - Textured Blouse £25
Trousers - Straight Leg Trouser £35
Moving onto this monochrome look, again simple & stylish & perfect to wear with a black blazer & court shoes. Equally the white shirt would be perfect for dressing with a pair of jeans & navy blazer & as for the trousers team with a simple cami & pair of sandals & it would be perfect for an evening outfit for your summer hols.
Shirt - Long Sleeve Blouse £19
Trousers - Printed Trousers £27
I ljust ove the delicate fabric used in this twist on a classic white shirt. Again a great item for dressing up or down plus it's also available in stunning tomato red.
Shirt - Pleat Blouse With Cami £35
Moving back to pastel pink with this next look, which has a great laid back vibe. I would team this cardi & top with some rolled up boyfriend jeans & a pair of trainers for a great weekend look.
Shirt - Textured Blouse £25
Cardigan - Collar Cardigan £21
Now we all love a stripe or two & I love the relaxed fit & neckline of this jumper. Great for wearing with white or denim boyfriend jeans & trainers.
And of course we all know I'm a sucker for a stunning jacket, so it's no surprise that this one with it's metallic fleck instantly caught my eye. A great wardrobe classic that can so easily be dressed up or down.
Obviously being a lover of all things hot pink I also spotted this fab shirt. Perfect for teaming with so many items in my wardrobe from denim to skinny jeans to wide legged trousers. Simply layer with a few delicate gold chains & you'd be good to go.
Finally the one thing I didn't realise Damart sold was accessories. I just love everything about this straw bag from the size to the design to the colour - a great summer staple for days out with the family not to mention perfect for a beach bag for the summer holidays.
So what did I choose to review? Well of course me being me I simply couldn't resist the metallic fleck jacket. I really can see this being such a great multi tasker & of course being such a great neutral colour means it can be teamed with so many colours from denim, grey, black, blue, white & even strong colours too.
I love this colour way teamed not only with neutrals but also strong colours & I instantly wanted to team it with bright red with gold accessories & a spot of 'Bet' to break the look up. It's a lovely light jacket that's quite soft in structure to wear so you don't feel at all restricted & for me the gold piping around the edges & thread running through the fabric really make this jacket come to life.
Necklace - Pia Jewellery £45
Jacket - Damart £49
Top - Zara £29.99
Trousers - Zara, similar here
Belt - Gray & Osbourn, similar here
Shoes - Office £60
And of course seeing as I'd picked a metallic jacket I simply had to see what the metallic bag was like. Again this didn't disappoint. It's lighter in weight than I thought it would be (I was expecting more of a thick basket) but seeing as it folds almost flat it really is perfect for packing as a beach bag for the summer holidays. Plus of course it's lovely & lightweight & it even comes with a zip fastening so all your bits & bobs are nice & secure, which is always a huge bonus in my book.
Scarf - Mango £29.99
Top - Zara
Bag - Damart £22
Jeans - Zara
In fact I'm so pleased with it I'm using it today. Up & out early for a day out in Shropshire & maybe even a long walk, in which case trainers will be swapped for walking boots.
Scarf - Mango £29.99
Top - Zara
Bag - Damart £22
Jeans - Zara
Trainers - Mango
Scarf - Mango £29.99
Top - Mint Velvet £69
Bag - Damart £22
Jeans - Hush £75
Trainers - Mango £44.99
So what do you think of my choices? Is Damart a company that now they're styling their pieces in a more appealing way is getting you to sit up & take notice? How about other brands, have you recently re-discovered any you'd previously written off as a result of a new styling format? As always I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
Have a fab Sunday & fingers crossed the sun decides to put in an appearance at some stage. Although whatever the weather it's just lovely knowing the alarm doesn't have to be set for tomorrow isn't it ;-)
See you in the morning.
See you in the morning.
Hi Jane, Love, love, love the bag! It looks great quality for the money and an ideal holiday purchase so thanks for bringing it to our attention. Personally I love a bit of Bet and anything with bling so will be headed to the website and making a cheeky purchase soon. Would love to have seen it against your gorgeous coral trousers, its lovely to see such beautiful, bright colours and makes me so impatient for our holiday in the summer. Enjoy the sun today! xxx
ReplyDeleteHi & thank you :-) The bag is definitely perfect for holidays as it folds to virtually nothing so won't take a great deal of room up in the suitcase & being metallic will go with everything.
DeleteLike you I'm also desperately counting down till our summer holidays although if we could have some nice weather here for a few weeks to so I can get rid of the pasty legs that would be good!
Hope you're having a wonderful Bank Holiday.

ReplyDeleteLol......I'm with you at that price it would be rude not to...right?!! ;-)

You look great in red! I love it when certain brands surprise you by bringing out some great pieces. Keep seeing Lidl adverts for their clothing range and I'm very tempted! X
ReplyDeleteHi Jane & thank you. Yes I keep seeing Lidl adverts & wondering if it looks as good in the flesh - if you go you'll have to let me know what you think.
DeleteIt's always nice to get something from somewhere different isn't it & of course it also lowers the risk of bumping into someone wearing the same thing!

Oh my gosh, the pink collarless coat is gorgeous! Love the bag, too! Great outfit; I must get myself a leopard print belt, it's been on my to-buy list for ages. xxx

I only own a Damart gilet and I never think to look there. Great picks though, Jane. I love that bag. Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynne, I think there are a few brands like Damart that actually have some great pieces but they fall off your radar & get over looked don't they.
