I can't believe that we're almost half way through June - where on earth is this year going?! It really doesn't seem that long ago to when we wondering if we'd have a white Christmas & now we're on the downward slope to next Christmas!!
Anyway if you're anything like us this time of year will see you on the countdown to your summer holidays so for this month's wardrobe classic it had to be the ever useful kaftan. A holiday 'must have', that if you're anything like me you can never have enough of & are always on the search for 'the one'.
Needless to say this time of year you're simply spoilt for choice, so without further ado here's my selection of the best ones around this summer.
Starting with Hush who have got a stunning collection. This is the first year they've done beachwear & I could simply order one of each of these cover ups. Plus what I really love about these is that you could wear these back at home too, just wear over a simple nude underskirt & these would be perfect for long hot summer days or layering with a denim jacket.
Move of a traditional beach cover up with this next one, which looks fab with their pom pom bag - such a timeless kaftan that I'm sure would be used on holidays for years to come.
Moving onto Boden with this simple tunic, which I have previously featured on the blog here. Again perfect for throwing over swimwear to go down to the pool or beach but equally perfect for teaming with trousers on your return.
Or if like me you have a thing for pom poms this season what about this lovely one from Next?
Now I've already featured this crochet trim kaftan from New Look in a previous post & both the white & black versions are already stashed away in my holiday drawer ready to make their first appearance this summer. These really are lovely, timeless kaftans at a great price.
Or for something with a little more detailing this one from Marks & Spencers looks stunning.
Or for something similar in blue then I love the look of this one from Accessorize.
If however, you prefer something a little plainer & brighter in colour then Accessorize also do this lovely jersey front knot kaftan - such a pretty colour to team with a tan & gold accessories.
Or for something with a little more sparkle then this one from Wallis is stunning & a little longer in length too.
Keeping with the longer length with this stunner from Marks - white & blue the perfect holiday combination.
Then moving onto more patterned & brightly coloured kaftans now. I just love the embroidery on this next one & it's also available in a longer length & plus size versions too.
Or for just a splash of colour how about this neon trimmed kaftan. Love it teamed with the white bikini, if you're brave enough!
And this embroidered kaftan looks lovely too.
Love the pom pom edging on this printed kaftan from Accessorize. Again perfect for teaming with metallic sandals & a straw panama & beach basket.
I'd almost forgotten I've also stashed this Wallis printed kaftan away for our summer holidays too. Seriously this picture doesn't do it justice & with all the beautiful colours it's perfect for mixing & matching with your swimwear.
And finally what about this spotted tunic from Boden. Such a pretty shade of pink with pom pom edging to!
Finishing with what I'm wearing today & opting for a spot of double denim.

I bought the New Look black kaftan for my holiday Jane but I didn't wear it :0( It's really lovely but I've decided that kaftans are just not for me.....I'm much happier in shorts and a tee! Nothing ventured nothing gained, my sister is pretty chuffed though as it's fallen into her hands! Love, love, love your outfit of the day! xx
ReplyDeleteOh that's such a shame Michelle as it's a beautiful kaftan. I'm the opposite of you & love a kaftan for the ease in which they can be whipped on & off.
