OOTD - Denim & cream

After the anxiety of results day yesterday I think it's just about starting to sink in how well our son did & that we no longer have the worry of the results overhanging us.  Instead he can now look forward to starting the next phase of his life, which is going to be exciting to say the least & a total dream come true.  As after spending several weeks on work experience on & off in the last 18 months & school holidays, our son has been offered an apprenticeship with a film & media company :-)  To say we're fit to burst with pride is something of an understatement as for the field he wants to enter he's been incredibly lucky to have been offered the opportunity.  So no more school or school holidays instead he's bravely stepping into the world of work - I know he enjoyed the moment yesterday of turning down his school's request for him to stay with them for A levels - gosh my baby is definitely growing up fast!

So we're making the most of the next couple of weeks of his last long holiday & after a few chores round the house & catching up from holidays we're off out to the cinema.

I'm keeping things pretty simple today with denim, cream & some tan accessories.

  1. Ah Jane I can hear how proud you are, and huge congratulations to him, and you all!.....Isn't it such a relief when it's all over, and you can go back to some normality again? It sounds like an amazing opportunity your son has been offered......Is he be leaving home too, as that's a new phase to experience as well?!

    1. Thanks Helen, I would have been proud of him no matter what the results as he's worked so hard but it's so lovely to see the hard work has paid off for him & after getting the results yesterday I slept like a baby last night lol!
Luckily he's not leaving home just let so we can still hold onto him that little bit longer but I suspect there's going to be a whole lot of growing up going on in the coming months!
      Have a lovely weekend.

  4. Congratulations to your son Jane, what a great achievement! It's so, so difficult for this age group deciding on education etc so for him to get an apprenticeship in the field he wants is amazing! X
