Taking A Look AT Hush & WIWT

Now it's no secret that I'm a massive fan of Hush Clothing, so when they recently got in touch to see if I'd like to select three pieces from their AW15 collection to style I instantly said yes, as having been lucky enough to receive some items from their previous collections I knew the quality, fit & style would be amazing & this latest collection doesn't disappoint.

Needless to say my only concern was which three pieces to choose as they seriously have such a strong collection that I could have picked everything!  Fast forward a couple of hours of me oohing & aahing & I'd made my decision.  But before I share with you the three pieces I finally picked I thought I'd show you what made it onto my short list.

As I've already mentioned there was lots I could of quite happily picked but when trying to narrow my selection down I had three criteria in mind - firstly pieces that were timeless, never date & could be brought out to play every year.  Secondly items that would slot into my existing wardrobe & finally key pieces for the season ahead.  I think you'll agree that each of the items featured below easily fit into each of these categories.

Starting with this lovely knitted dress.  Perfect for teaming with a fabulous pair of court shoes such as leopard print heels for a night out or ballet flats for work or even biker boots for a relaxed daytime look.  I reckon this would be really versatile & I just love the batwing styled sleeves.  Plus navy makes such a lovely alternative to a little black dress.

Hush Harper Knit Dress

Now we all love a stripe & I like most of us I have the odd *coughs* breton hanging in my wardrobe so this black & cream jumper would be perfect for wearing under a tuxedo with skinny jeans & some leopard print shoes/boots.

Hush Stripe Jumper

If you've been following my blog for a while you will know just how useful I've found my Rachel Wears oversized cardi.  As I've mentioned in the past I love soft grey so this light grey oversized cardi is a real no brainer.  I'm amazed how much use I've got out of mine & often wonder how on earth I managed in the past with it!  Plus if greys not your thing it's also available in the most stunning shade of camel.

Hush Nina Cardi

This biker jacket should need no explanation as to why it made it onto my short list - stylish, timeless & oh so gorgeous.  In fact I love everything about the whole look & was seriously tempted to add these Amie Joggers (£45) onto the short list too!

Hush Jet Leather Jacket

I own a fab navy loose fit jacket, which is perfect for throwing on with a pair of boyfriend jeans & trainers so this black jacket would make a great addition & was extremely tempting, although even I may (& I say may loosely) have maxed out on black jackets for now!

Hush Black Jacket

Another great wardrobe staple is the white boyfriend shirt.  I just love how this one from Hush has lovely detailing on the sides which somehow makes it less bulky & more feminine.

Hush Boyfriend Shirt

Another great style shirt is the wrap shirt.  Perfect for dressing up or down & I just love the fact this one is longer at the back, not to mention available in a variety of colours.  I mean seriously how stunning does this look teamed with their leather leggings (£330), which are also available in black.

Hush Wrap Shirt

Totally loving this simple grey tee, so useful for dressing down a pair of smarter jeans/trousers as well as teaming with a tuxedo, distressed jeans & trainers.

Hush Cotton Slub V Tee

Come the cooler months I don't know about you but I'm craving the comfort & warmth of a simple sweatshirt & this stunning quilted number really ups the style stakes.  Perfect with joggers for a stylish outfit at home or teamed with an oversized shirt, leather leggings & courts for a night out.

Hush Quilted Contrast Sweat

Moving onto accessories next & with shawls being big news this season this stunning plum & grey one is just gorgeous.

Hush Blanket Shawl

Of course we all know I love a spot of leopard print so this cashmere leopard print scarf would make a fabulous & timeless addition - just stunning teamed with a simple white tee & black blazer as much as it is pattern clashing with a breton.

Hush Cashmere Leopard Shawl

And of course a fedora hat is never going to date.  Plus it really adds a little something to the plainest of outfits, not to mention is so much easier to protect the hair from the rain than an umbrella.  The question is do you pick the grey or black version?!!

Hush Fedora Hat

So all the above items are stunning & I'd be quite honestly be more than delighted to find a home for any of these in my wardrobe but after a lot of thought I eventually chose the following three pieces.

Firstly this lovely knitted dress.  Perfect for styling similar to the below picture with one of my many blanket scarves & biker boots but I'm also planning on wearing it with a biker jacket & more delicate ankle boots too.  Plus & this is a major plus it's not going to crease, doesn't cling so will conceal the odd mince pie or ten & it's lovely & warm so can be worn during the depths of winter too!

Hush Willow Knit Dress

Now the monochrome version of this jumper made it onto my shortlist above & it was a really hard choice deciding on colour but in the end I choose the grey & navy version as I really want to team this with my navy military jacket, not to mention a light pair of denim boyfriend jeans & trainers for a relaxed weekend vibe.

Hush Stripe Jumper

And finally I just couldn't resist this stunning parka.  Which is going to be simply perfect for wrapping up in walking the dog & when out & about come winter.  I just love how this is a little bit different to your everyday parka with the stunning maroon faux fur edging & lining, which seriously is like having a hug from a teddy.  It's so soft it's untrue & I just want to keep stroking it!

Hush Fire Parka

Naturally of course I had to have a little trying on session so here's how I've initially styled all three pieces.

    1. Sarah I kept looking at parkas too & wondering if I needed one but they're so useful not to mention warm & stylish that I wondered how on earth I managed without one! And of course the hood is a must have if you have hair like mine that goes frizzy at the thought of rain!
The leopard print scarf is stunning isn't it & would be perfect for the approaching cooler months & whilst an investment a great wardrobe staple that I'm sure you'd wonder how on earth you used to live without it......it's currently top of my wish list!

    1. Hi Jo I'm 5'7" so I'd definitely give it a go & of course with thick black tights in the winter it will help with the length if you feel it's a bit too short. Plus with the discount code (SEPT15) you've got free delivery & returns so nothing to loose ;-)

  6. Hi Jane. I love it all! You look great. :)

I have a question about the jeans you are wearing in the last picture of you. Are they a boyfriend cut or a straight leg cut? I like how straight and distressed they look. I have so many pairs of "boyfriend" jeans, in an effort to find that perfect pair like you are wearing. Most just end up making my hips look broad and my lower leg look narrow. Suggestions would be so greatly appreciated. I am 5'6" about 128 lbs. Thank you Jane! I love the dress. :)

    1. Hi if I remember correctly they're a boyfriend cut but I sized down as I didn't want the fit to be too baggy or loose. Have you tried Zara? I get most of my jeans from there as I find the fit, style, quality & price really good so it might be worth giving them a try. By the way what's your name? I've looked on your Blogger profile but can't seem to find it!

  7. Sorry but still dont see the obsession with Hush especially their knitwear. Have you actually worn any of it for a couple of hours? Well mine is now so baggy I cant wear it at all. And what's worse is their customer service when you complain.

    1. Oh gosh that really surprises me as I don't think I've heard anyone say anything bad about their knitwear before. I shall definitely be keeping my fingers crossed that my striped jumper is ok as I just love it!

  8. Good luck with the Hush stripy jumper. I have the same and is now three sizes bigger. I have contacted Hush but have had no reply. And my review has not been published either. Have had better quality from Uniqlo and Gap for a lot less.

    1. Noooo don't say that Sophie I just love that jumper so I shall be hoping it doesn't happen to mine.......so far so good!
I always find it's more effective to phone companies as you don't have a frustrating wait while they get back to. I'd give them a call about the jumper & see what they say....lots of luck.
