Another month, another monthly confession, which has of course been made a little better on the bank balance as all of my purchases were whilst on holiday & as we all know there's a huge saving to be made when purchasing from Zara & Massimo Dutti in Spain & that's before the great exchange rate is taken into account.
So here's what made it into the suitcase & despite hubby breaking into a sweat whilst waiting at check-in no excess baggage was paid.....in fact we were several kilos under!!
First off are these stunning statement shoes - flat, leopard print & studs - naturally there was no way these weren't coming home with me ;-)
I'd spotted this coat & hat in store before we left for holidays so was delighted to see them in Palma at the reduced price. If you're tempted by the hat I'd say order the small. I always find hats quite tight in terms of fit but the small in this one is plenty big enough with room to spare.
So I think that's about me done oh apart from the draped top, which I'd previously confessed to.
Back to today & here's what I'm wearing. I'm desperately trying to hold onto summer but it definitely feels like Autumn is on the doorstep!

Without realising it I seem to have gone for a bit of grey & cream theme with my purchases, which I must admit would make a great capsule wardrobe.
A bit more leopard print with this blanket scarf, which I just know is going to keep me super warm come the cooler months. Some distressed biker jeans (can a girl ever have enough denim?!) & two pretty tops. The top one has a lovely metallic thread with puff sleeves & the chiffon top is just elegantly stunning. Both perfect for teaming with jeans & heels for a night out.

Having found my faux leather leggings so useful last winter I was on the look out for a leather pair & was delighted when I spotted these from Massimo Dutti. A lovely thin leather that fits perfectly. The cream jumper is a great wardrobe staple that will look amazing teamed with pearls and denim & I don't think I even need to explain why the grey knitted jacket found it's way home do I?!

Oops & another jacket seems to have found a home in my wardrobe too! Well what can I say I find my black tuxedo jackets extremely useful so a cream loose fit one will make a lovely & welcome addition to the collection ;-)

I'd love to say that's my AW15 pretty much sorted & of course I'll try & stick to it but me being me there's bound to be some more additions along the way.......well what can I say writing a blog is lethal & don't get me started on how stunning Zara's new collection is - it should definitely come with a bank warning!!
How about you, what have you been buying lately? I'd love to hear what's made it into your wardrobe or onto your new season wish list.
Have a fab Sunday & see you in the morning.
Wow, I think I love everything you have purchased this month, especially the leather trousers and cream jumper. On your recommendation I have the M&S jacket, it's fast become my fave thing to wear, super soft and super comfy and looks fab styled with your white dress. Unfortunately no chance of wearing dresses in our little corner, knitwear all the way today!! Enjoy the rest of the weekend x
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie & I'm delighted you're loving your biker as much as I am. They're perfect aren't they & just go with everything. After getting a lot of use out of faux leather leggings last year I decided that if I saw a pair of leather leggings/trousers that I liked whilst we were away I'd take advantage of the saving & treat myself as I reckon they'll be getting a lot of use this autumn & winter.
DeleteHope you've got blue skies today.....rumour has it that a heatwave is due by the end of the week whoop whoop :-)

Love those shoes, your AW collection is looking great. I've not bought a thing. Well, except for a pair of boots, two pairs of culottes, 3 jumpers..... Actually looks like I've bought enough for a What i've been buying post. :)
ReplyDeleteLol Lotty you're as bad as me ;-)
DeleteI just couldn't resist studs & leopard print!

Lovely pieces Jane-looks like you are all set for a/w:) I am only starting to put away my real summery bits and have to see what gaps I have to fill with some new bits. I am loving all the knitwear available this season!

Yup I'm all ready Anne although I'm not ready to say goodbye to blue skies just yet!
DeleteThere's some stunning knitwear around isn't there & looks perfect for snuggling in come the colder weather.
Have a great week.

Very envious of your holiday haul Jane...you are certainly sorted for A/W15!! I do love the Zara grey jacket.....that is gorgeous! Everything you picked goes so perfectly together! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's strange isn't it Michelle, I didn't set about picking pieces that could all intermix but as luck happens it makes the perfect capsule wardrobe.

The leopard shoes are F A B U L O U S! X
ReplyDeleteThanks Annmarie, I couldn't believe it when I spotted them & they were the only ones left in my size!

Great buys, Jane. I was really good until about a week or go when I felt like autumn had begun and I went a bit crazy! Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteYup seasons have a lot to answer for don't they Lynne ;-)

Loving the leopard print shoes and the ZARA coat! The navy M&S biker jacket in your OOTD is currently on my wish list! How is the sizing? xxx

Thanks Emma. As for the sizing with the biker jacket I'd say true to size. I'm generally an 8 & it fits perfectly.
