Morning ladies before I get onto what I'm wearing I wanted to tell you about a great new shopping centre that has recently opened that would be ideal for some Christmas shopping & perfect for this time of year as it's all under cover!
I was lucky enough to be invited to Resorts World's official opening on Wednesday night & was amazed at the facilities on offer. To be honest it had me at 50 outlet stores (which include Gap, H&M, Next & Phase Eight to name just a few!). I mean who doesn't like a bit of discount shopping?! But what I hadn't anticipated was that it's also a great venue for a night out as there's some amazing restaurants & bars (18 in total) including the Bottega Prosecco Bar, Robata Bar & Grill (which had the most amazing nibbles on the night - their mushroom spring rolls & calamari were to die for) & the Sky Bar which is situated on the top floor & offers cocktails & a Teppanyaki grill plus a large outside terrace on which to sit & admire the sweeping views - definitely one to visit with the girls in the summer me thinks ;-) Plus there's a gorgeous new boutique hotel, casino, 11 screen cinema which includes an IMAX screen & a medispa too! Hubby & I are already planning on returning for a date night to enjoy a cheeky cocktail or two! And I'm thinking I might need a day out with the girls to enjoy the facilities at the spa as I love the idea of treatments that incorporate the latest medical devices & traditional complimentary therapies. This would naturally have to be followed by a lazy lunch, a stroll round the shops & a glass of prosseco - my ideal kind of day!
Plus if you don't live locally the venue couldn't be easier to get to, situated just a very short walk away from Birmingham International train station, or if travelling by car just off junction 6 of the M42. It even has it's own multi-storey car park. Seriously I'm already looking for an excuse to return.
I had an amazing night on Wednesday & along with the official ribbon cutting by Tan Sri K T Lim (the Chairman of Genting Group) I got to enjoy a lively & colourful Lion dance to celebrate the opening, which was organised to symbolise good luck & fortune to the new venture. Plus I got to meet my two favourite Heart FM DJs Ed James & Rachel New who are absolutely hilarious I mean seriously they have the ability to make me laugh of a morning whilst I'm exercising in the garage at silly o'clock. As well as enjoy a live performance by Britain's Got Talent winners Collabro & I even met Bradley Walsh! Still can't believe these things happen to little old me!
Back to today & I'm keeping things nice & simple & styling my grey flannel culottes with a touch of colour & a spot of Bet.

My jumper is a newbie that I was sent from Kettlewell Colours & is a lovely merino wool scoop neck & is a gorgeous muted red that's simply perfect for this time of year & teaming with a spot of grey. I'm also being brave & testing my toes in my Zara pointed flats - but I'm guessing they may be off shortly but hey gently does it & all that.
