Happy Thursday ladies, there's nothing like knowing there's only one more sleep till the start of the weekend is there?!
Today I'm bringing out a new maxi skirt to play & styling it in a way that creates the illusion of a maxi dress.
Now I've really enjoyed wearing maxi skirts more over the last few days because of my toes, so when I was approached by Kettlewell Colours to pick a few pieces to style I was immediately drawn to their maxi skirt & faux cross over top as not only are they great wardrobe staples in their own right, they're perfect for teaming together to create the illusion of a maxi dress to.
Both pieces are incredibly well made, hang beautifully & are made from the most stunning soft & silky viscose stretch fabric. As you can see from the picture below the faux wrap top is really flattering, has long sleeves, is a great longer length with ruching at the waist to flatter an area most of us ladies are probably a little self conscious of. Plus both items are available in a vast array of colours - I was torn between the black & navy.
As you can see the trainers are still firmly on, so I've styled the look with a bit of a casual vibe & to hide the fact that its a two piece I've added an old Zara leather wrap belt & finished the look with a double breasted cropped jacket.

Great look Jane. I have several Kettlewell tops but would never have thought of putting them with a maxi skirt!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sally I just love this crossover top I think it's going to prove to be really flexible & I'm loving the fact it feels like a dress teamed with the skirt.
