Ladies I don't know about you but in my mind a girl can never have enough shoes. So when Jones Bootmaker recently got in touch to see if I'd like to choose a pair of shoes or boots to review I naturally didn't hesitate in saying yes. My only concern of course was which pair to choose as they have some real beauties.
So before I share with you which ones I eventually picked I thought I'd show you the ones that made it onto my short list but be warned some are so tempting in price that they really are selling out fast!
Now the first pair to catch my eye were these lovely navy suede court shoes. I don't know about you but over the last 18 months or so I've fell back in love with court shoes as they're perfect for a night out on the town. Plus very importantly for someone like me who trips over her own shadow, you can get them in a sensible height heel too & this navy pair are no exception. Just stunning & perfect for teaming with jeans & a navy blazer.
Keeping with court shoes for this next pair & I just love these snake print ones. As a huge fan of leopard print these snake print ones would be just as versatile & useful & really transform the simplest of outfits. In fact the more I think about it the more I think I need to start adding some more snake print to my collection!
Moving onto flats & as I've just mentioned I'm a huge fan of leopard print & for me a pair of leopard print ballet pumps are a real wardrobe 'must have' in my book. I have to say I couldn't believe the price of these, such a serious bargain that if I didn't already own several pairs of leopard print would see me 'clicking the button' in a nano-second!
Of course this time of year not only can a girl not have enough shoes, she also can't have enough boots too. So naturally I had to investigate further ;-) This first pair of tan suede ankle boots are another wardrobe classic. Personally I don't believe you can beat a pair of tan boots teamed with denim.
Moving onto knee highs next. Team with skirts of varying length, skinny jeans, culottes or dresses this pair would not only be super versatile, but with the depths of winter yet to come the gripped soles would prove super useful too.
Back onto ankle boots & these beauties are perfect for a night out or if you fancy a small heel in the day.
But at the moment being restricted to what shoes I can wear due to bruised & swollen toes (boy they're taking an age to heal!) I decided to go for some boots that I can enjoy wearing straight away. I just love that they're a mix of a traditional Chelsea boot with the detailing of brogues. Plus handily they come with a decent grip & most importantly when my toes are still so tender have an inner zip to make getting them on & off easier too.
Size wise I went for the 7 & they fit perfectly with room for a pair of socks come colder mornings. Plus they're not too gaping on the ankle, which was a big concern before they arrived - not skin tight but not too loose either, meaning they can be teamed with boyfriend jeans or skinny jeans/leggings alike.
Of course I'm wearing my new boots today but before I show you how I've styled them I thought I'd share this beauty I've just spotted on the M&S website & am now currently debating whether to 'click the button'?! Seeing as it's currently reduced to £31.50 & sizing are selling out fast I think I just might have to investigate further ;-)
Back to today & instead of going with the obvious choice of teaming with jeans & a chunky knit I thought I'd pair them with my leather leggings & give them a bit of dressed up kind of look.
