Following my post on Valentine's Day gift inspiration for us ladies (see here) I thought it only fair I look at gifts for the men in our lives, as I don't know about you but it's hard enough thinking what to buy them on birthdays & Christmas let alone Valentine's Day! So here's just a few ideas that will hopefully be of inspiration.
Back to today & I'm going with an all classic look.
Jacket - Zara
Blouse - Alice Temperley
Trousers - Zara
Quilted Ballet Pumps - Bought In Majorca
Jacket - Miss Selfridge £39
Blouse - Alice Temperley £59
Trousers - Boden £59.50
Ballet Pumps - Boden £69.50
So what do you generally buy your partner on Valentine's Day - a token gift, a treat or nothing at all? I'd love to hear your thoughts & any ideas you can come up with.
Have a great day. I'm hoping that for me today is far more productive than yesterday. As after our son's phone broke yesterday morning I seemed to spend most of the day on the phone to either Apple or EE & then emailing our son their replies/tricks to try & get it working. I just hate the idea of not being able to contact him or he us in an emergency especially now he's travelling to & from work on his own. You don't realise how much you come to rely on mobiles until they don't work do you?! And like most things technology is great when it works but such a pain when it doesn't! Still after our son spending a couple of hours queueing in the Apple shop (the alternative was to wait a week for an appointment) we're no further forward apart from an appointment on Saturday! Oh well there's worse things that could happen & hopefully I'll have a more productive day today.
See you in the morning & just in case you've got your eye on something Wallis have up to 50% off on all coats, knitwear & boots (which ends tomorrow night) see here to grab yourself a bargain.

ReplyDeleteClassy outfit Jane! Very chic! Thanks for the ideas for Hubby's Valentine...the gum ball machine is especially creative thinking! My hobby is paper craft, so I usually make up a Valentine card and one of his favorite dinners. Last year was a little slider box filled with chocolate.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea Deborah. Will you be making something out of paper this year? You can't beat a nice meal in just the two of you can you?! Even if we're not going out hubby & I always have a date night at home once a week as just having the time to be & catch up over a nice meal is so special & important.
DeleteHappy Wednesday.

Jane on the phone thing we have a £10 from Argos PAYG in the kitchen drawer for such emergencies (or for when the smartphone gets confiscated!) so the teens aren't ever without a means of communication. We've only had to use it once (waiting for Apple Store appointment like you!) but now my son is driving its good to know he will never be without a phone!
ReplyDeleteHi Nicola oh that's a great idea thank you, can't think why I didn't think of this but yes it's definitely worth keeping in the house in case of emergencies isn't it?! I'm bad enough not liking the fact he's without communication on the train so when he starts driving later this year I'd be beside myself!! Thank you so much for the tip off.
