Happy Mother's Day ladies.
Today I wanted to share with you an amazing brand that recently got in contact with me, as I'm totally in love with their designs. Plus we all know what our hubbies/partners are like & on the off chance that they may have forgotten to arrange your Mothering Sunday gift, I really don't think you could get a more perfect gift than the stunning piece of jewellery I've been lucky enough to receive.
Originally formed in 2009 & named after Laura's first born, Harry Rocks is a London based company that makes handmade & stunning unique pieces of jewellery made from precious metals & semi precious stones. With each piece being inspired by Laura's love of nature, vintage finds & astrology to create beautiful one of a kind jewellery that not only will mean something dear to the wearer but will last a lifetime. In fact the brand is now so successful it is even stocked in Harvey Nichols to name just one of the stores/boutiques where you will find it in.
Writing this blog means I get to work with some amazing brands & I'm always excited when I get the chance to review pieces but to know an item has been beautifully & uniquely created just for you is quite simply amazing.
Now I've previously mentioned that I'm a huge sucker for beautifully packaged products & Harry Rocks certainly meets my expectations in the packaging department. Just look how stunning my new piece of jewellery was packaged when it arrived - I almost didn't want to undo the ribbon!

Now if you take a look at their website (see here) you'll know it was a really hard decision to choose which beautiful piece of jewellery to review but in the end I went for something that as a mother will always be extremely special & that is their stunning entwined initials disc pendant necklace.
As I've mentioned above each piece of jewellery is truly unique, with the brand also happy to take on personal commissions. For my necklace I had the choice of choosing either sterling silver of gold plated over sterling silver, shiny or matt with the addition of choosing which initials, how they were engraved on the disc, the length of the chain & if I wanted a semi-precious stone inserted.
The natural choice for me was to have the initials of my son engraved on the pendant & instead of including his middle names I opted for just the initials from his Christian name of 'Thomas-James'. I also choose to have his date of birth engraved on the back & his birthstone of ruby inserted alongside his initials. To personalise the necklace further I even had the chain shortened to a shorter length so that it would be more visible when worn & also would be perfect for layering with other necklaces come the summer.
As you can see from the below images sent, Laura is more than happy to accommodate personal designs & try different layouts & it's so much easier to visualise & make a decision on the design when you get sent images of the actual design.
And here's my necklace in all it's glorious glory. To say I'm delighted with it is something of a massive understatement. It really is so stunning & beautiful. A truly special & timeless memento not to mention keepsake that I will treasure for ever. Which would seriously make the most perfect gift for any mother or loved one. Plus it took just under 2 weeks from initial contact to the time my necklace arrived.
Naturally I'm wearing it today & will make no excuses for the times you'll be seeing it on the blog. Not only is it beautiful in it's design it just makes me smile every time I look at it & see my son's initials looking back at me.

So back to today & the joys of Mother's Day. After being woken up with cookies, a cup of green tea & a glass of bubbles to start the day off in style we're off out for breakfast before coming home to a relaxing day & a late lunch cooked by our son. I can't wait to see what treats he has in store as he's fast becoming a great cook. So how are you planning on spending your day?
